How about having a nice democratic poll on creating a new forum in GD based on the suggestions above? Let the members have their say and majority rules?

That is not going to happen. This site is not run in a democratic manner. The members do not own this site and neither do the mods. It will be run per the wishes of it's owners and the Administration.

BTW, not really an attitude and I know you were kidding, but some may not realize it. It's just a fact of life, this is a site run for corporate profit and the GD section does not bring in advertisers.

Ummm... does no one remember "the dark side" ?

It is no longer a site, but one existed, and now... 2 exist! (It split into 2 different sites due to disagreements on how it should be ran)

I don't want to get banned for mentioning them by name.

Yep. It was a good run though, I think it lasted somewhere around 2 years.

Now all of that is at one spot which is still basically a free for all and the other site is pretty mellow with moderate rules and more of a focus on politics and firearms. There aren't that many members yet though as most stayed with the "free for all".
