I think the reason it gets so bad is because we have so many members that troll the site JUST to post political threads or post partisan comments. They know who they are and should join a political forum instead of trolling a truck enthusiast forum to further divide members based on something so trivial as political beliefs.

It's not just you. There are several others that have been on this site for years, and haven't contributed to anything F150 related. A few of them don't even drive F150's anymore. They just enjoy coming on and stirring the political pot, even though it's quite pathetic. I won't name names, but they know damn well who they are. They're left wingers and right wingers, and IMO they serve no purpose on this site.

I make posts on other parts of this site too.

Granted I am not quite the good source of information as JBREW whose efforts have helped me greatly!

I too have an Expy and there is NO activity there!

Guilty as charged Punisher! I have recently realized I spend much more time in the GD section then anywhere else. I do spend time searching for solutions to minor problems with my F150, but less of my time has been spent in the Supercrew section than in previous years. I would hope I wouldn't be labeled a troll based on the total years I've been on the site. I have gone through 2 F150's and a couple of hundred thousand miles in those years. Thanks for pointing out the obvious, that shouldn't have eluded me for so long.

Well I know your not posting about me either, my post count is really low (used the search alot when I had my F150) and I post about all sorts of stuff, like NASCAR for instance, I generally don't initiate political threads, but don't mind responding to them.

There is nothing wrong with a gentle pot stirring once in awhile, it keeps the soup evenly hot. You need to have thick skin here in GD for sure, if not then go to a Barbie forum and post pink things.... Grow a stem guys and relax...........

Create a politics forum, but require an IQ test and a macro economics test before you can enter.

Good thread Jack, I thought at first it was meant to be sarcastic/humorous, but now I'm not sure. It seems to have made alot of us do a double take on what/how we respond to posts. I've noticed that the GD threads I am suscribed to have a little more civil tone to them today, IDK probably won't last though. I just would hate to see them loose their edginess all together because I do enjoy some of the lively ones.

Maybe if we just put a regulator on some of the Canadians-but not all of them. JK!
