Looking at getting one of these nifty little nitro trucks. Just seeing if anyone here owns one. Im looking at this truck 55-60 mph with remote start

I used to race them in a local setting, but have gotten away from them. I personally have never seen one of these nor have I even seen this site. This is what I used to race.....

I would shy away from those if I were you. I have several RC's currently. The only nitro truck I have right now is a Traxxas Revo 3.3 that I used to race. It is crazy fast!! There are many good brands out there but those like you linked you will never find parts for. Go with Traxxas, Losi, HPI or Associated. They are good reliable brands and easy to find parts for. Trust me....in this hobby you will need parts! LOL!

I am actually shying away from nitro since electric has become so advanced and easy to work with. I just bought a new Traxxas Slash PE 4x4 that I run lipo batteries in. Out of the box it runs 45 MPH but if I step it up to a 3 cell lipo it will run 60+ and will run for 30 mins.

My stable right now consists of: Traxxas race-Revo3.3
Traxxas Slash PE 4x4
Traxxas Slash 2wd
Losi mini-crawler
Associated RC18R

Good luck with whatever you choose!!! These things are a blast!!

This was my last race truck project that I never finished....

I bought this one when they first came out, the brushless trucks weren't available yet. I was doing a Mamba system on that one but never got a chance to finish before I sold it.

I do still have a Rustler that I'm doing a Mamba system on.

Yea, but it sucks I never got to run it finished. I'm just hoping the Rustler will be just as much fun, especially since its 2wd.

I used to do the nitro RC's, in fact I used to run a website dedicated to it. Fun hobby, just haven't had the time to get back into it.

I used to race all over.. My son raced revo's. We still have an E-Revo.. traxxas makes great stuff.. If you wanna get serious check out some of the 1/8th scales.. My race truck was a Mugen MBX5. Ran Jp mod motors or Novarossi.. Still love an old P5..

Anyway if you want a prebuilt, good to go, great handling truck you need to decide: What am I doing? If you're a basher,jumper.. look at a true Monster truck like the old T-Maxx.. If you want a low slung great handling yard/parking lot,, BMX track type.. go for the Revo..

Definitely get ya something name brand.

I used to run nitro onroad and nitro drag cars (Funny car and Pro Stock) way back in the day. The brushless/lipo setups now-a-days are amazing and will be easier to maintain in the long run.

Here's my two race trucks: The blue truck is a Jammin SCRT10 (4wd) w/ a Mamba Max Pro and Novak 4.5HV. The purple truck is a chopped Slash (2wd) - STRC LCG chassis, Protrac suspension, TRX BigBore shocks and a Castle Creations Sidewinder SCT ESC w/ Neu-Castle 1410 1y 3800 kv motor.
