Get real!

The fact is, the safety rules they were operating under had been severely weakened under the Bush/Cheney administration. That is a fact. You and the rest of the short-sighted Republicans would have been screaming bloody murder if the Obama administration had put safety measures in place that the Bush/Cheney administration helped the industry avoid.

That is only my speculation but you know it's true.
It's my perogative.

So, what you are saying is that Obama is no better than Bush. Thanks, glad you woke up to that.

I wouldn't put it that way. Obama has shown more leadership in his first 17 months than Bush did in the entire 8 years.

That is more true than the people who are doing it can even see.

Rush for President!

This guy is an idoit....much like our President. Since our President's only experience is being a community organizer....it's no surprise the lack of response and urgency of our government. His only response is blame others. He's such a turd!!!!

O'Bama forgot his lighter on the beach at Grand Isle last week. He came back today to get it.

Rant!!!

WTF!!! When this spill happened the federal government did nothing but get in the way. When the oil started hitting the beaches in LA, Obama said the federal government was doing all it could. Now the oil is hitting FL and somehow Gen Allen has pressed all available boats into service to protect those beaches. WTF!!! I thought Obama and his government were doing all it could. Obviously they weren't. If they were there wouldn't be any boats not already in service. Could it possibly be that the three states that were being effected voted the other way in 2008, while Fl voted for the Dems? WTF!!! To mis-quote one of the biggest idiots, "Obama hates RED people!"

It seems BP's estimate of oil leaking into the Gulf was off a little from the original estimate. No one is really taking charge so far, either BP or the boy's in Washington (we know how they operate) for the cleanup. BP's cleanup contractor's work maybe 20 minutes and take a break for the same amount of time. This cleanup plus shutting the flow of oil may go on forever. Yes, the fiasco continues while the fishermen, boat marina's and resturaunt owner's go broke. If a hurricane hit's the whole Gulf Coast may be in for some tough times if this oil spread's around some more.

It's really sad what's happening down there. The spill and it's side effects are bad enough on the region, but now with the Government's decision to put the oil industry in the Gulf on 'pause' for six months the area's demise will only accelerate.
