Texting while driving

Hey guys,

I'm doing a Rogerian essay on texting while driving. I'm looking for pros/cons of it. Cons are easy: accidents, raised insurance, tickets, etc. But I'm looking for pros. Scientific studies a plus since I need to claim my sources. Anyone recall reading an article recently? Google is turning up blogs and opinions.

well what i mean is theres not really a good thing to come out of text messaging while driving..if you need to talk to someone THAT instant you should pull over and call/text them

Of all the ludicrous things I've seen on this forum (and there have been plenty), this takes the biscuit.

You are joking aren't you...or has it got to April 1st without me realising !

If anyone thinks there could be any plus points to texting whilst driving their licence should be revoked before they kill someone.

I think you've mixed the point or real life events with that of a paper assignment.

BTW, you should get Firefox, it'll clear those spelling errors

Maybe you could say "by texting while driving I was able to avoid the awkwardness of telling my best friend I am gay in person". I think thats the only pro that would work for you though.

Spelling errors ?

There is no point wasting academic ( ! ) time on theoretical papers that have no relationship to reality !!

That's a tough one.

My Rogerian essay was 'Spitting on the Sidewalk'.
I got a D.

Do you have to have any pros to it? All advantages to texting while driving are easily done by talking on the phone.

There are ZERO "pros" to texting while driving. Eyes are off the road to type and read.
FAIL!
