There's a lot to cover in your post, but I'll try.

I see nothing wrong, based on the Bible, for contraception to be used.

I see nothing wrong, based on the Bible, for equal rights for women, outside of abortion or pastoring a church. Abortion is murder in God's eyes, period. I can't recite the verse verbatim, but God says I knew of you when you were formed in the womb. Abortion is essentially a human playing God.

There is a HUGE difference between gay discrimination, and not believing that gays and lesbians should be married. If someone is denied a job or promotions, etc., that is obviously discrimination. What they do in their own homes is their business and will have to answer for it. Gays and lesbians are humans and should be treated with kindness and not hated. But the Bible is clear, marriage is between 1 woman and 1 man.

As long as any nation has nuclear weapons (and this is opinion), America should have nuclear weapons. Unfortunately, history states that the USSR, China, and other nations have either directly or indirectly acquired the technology from the U.S. I do not know one person, Christian or not, who would not like to see the world free from nukes. But that toothpaste has long been out of the tube.

 

For religious moral reasons, sex is still seen in most religions as serious and sacred. Its primary purpose, according to church teachings, is only for reproduction in marriage. "Be fruitful and multiply," the Bible tells us. Some religions even believe that unwanted pregnancies out of marriage are divine punishments for illicit sex. So, if contraception is allowed, how could God punish immoral, loose women? Furthermore, most churches still teach that we all received our life directly form God. If a woman became pregnant, even again her will, it is meant to be. A baby is seen as a gift from God. Therefore, using contraception is seen as interfering with God's plan for us by allowing humans instead of God to decide when there should be conception.
Scriptures also warn us that pleasures of the flesh are sinful (Cor. 6:18-20) Contraception, it is feared, will encourage sex just for fun. How awful! This could reduce us to mere animals having sex all the time. (Actually, it's all the other animals that only have sex when pregnancy is possible.)

 

Hundreds of millions of gays throughout Western history have lived in constant fear of discovery. Untold numbers have been actually tortured, castrated and even burned to death, all because of intense, irrational homophobia fueled in part by those who get their instructions from the Bible. It was the Hebrew god who in the Old Testament is said to have created all of us heterosexuals (Gen. 1:27, 2:18) and who instructed His followers to put men who engage in homosexual behavior to death: Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
Before you say that this verse was written in the old Testament to a deferent audience, let me point out that the "Christian" apostle Paul reaffirms, in the New Testament, the wickedness of homosexual act . Take a look at, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 "Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." And Paul's letter to Timothy lists homosexuals among the godless together with murderers (1Tim. 1:9-10) And in Jude 7 homosexuals are said to suffer the punishment of eternal fire. (Although, the actual word, "Homosexual" doesn't appear in the Bible until late 1800s, the meaning of these passages is crystal clear to most fundamentalist Christians today.)
So, in spite of all the relevant discoveries of science over the last 200 years, homosexuals are still being branded by Christian fundamentalists as depraved sinners who fall seriously short of pleasing "God". They are seen as engaging in abominable, godless acts and of destroying the family. They are told that they are likely to burn in Hell unless they accept Jesus and either abstain from sex for life, or convert to heterosexuality.
Even today, homophobia is being preached by numerous televangelists, by fundamentalist preachers on thousands of radio stations, by tens of thousand of fundamentalist ministers in their churches and by tens of millions of fundamentalist parents in their homes. Scripture is being presented to tens of millions of Americans as "God's Word" for all time, "totally free of error". God loves the homosexual, but detests the homosexual act. And since god would obviously not create people to be homosexual, only to instruct His followers to put them to death, or to have them burn in eternal Hell, homosexuality either must be a free choice sinful people make or the result of "innocent" children seduced into this wicked lifestyle by homosexual child molesters, teachers and camp counselor. "Since they can't reproduce, they must recruit," proclaims the homophobic literature.

Sex outside of marriage is sinful.

 

This post is so full of opinion. "Homophobia" is not being preached by anyone. Please actually look up that word instead of misusing it.
