Wait... you mean in a society where hard work is punished with higher taxes and bad work is rewarded with bailouts you don't get good service?! Amazing... simply amazing. Who woulda thunk it?

The fact that the website does not have spell check is a weak excuse. You live in America don't you? Microsoft Word has a spell and grammar check, can't you copy and paste?

The moral of the story is, the guy made a simple mistake, as did you when you typed your letter, as do many people everyday. Relax about the biscuit, it's not like the spit in it. I hardly think McDonalds will flinch when you say that you aren't going to patronize their establishment anymore.
Yeah, discredit my complaint because I mis-spelled "not", even though I owned up to it.

You know, One time, I worked with a bunch of Mexicans who couldnt speak English and guess what. One day, while loading a 13-ton ditch box onto a flatbed, the Mexican operator knocked it off because he couldnt understand "STOP" in English as we (including me) were yelling at him. he almost crushed 3 other workers. But I guess that keeps guys like you in business, right?

No, actually I wrote that because you used the contraction "we're" incorrectly, should just be "were", not we are. But whatever....

If you have an issue with people not being able to speak and or understand English in your workplace and you feel it jeapordizes your safety then you are just as much at falut for not bringing it to your supervisors attention.

Due to the obvious barriers created with Internet "language" I am not certain as to how to interpret your final sentence. If you think I need "business" you are sorely mistaken. There are PLENTY of people that speak and understand English that do enough stupid human tricks to keep me securely employed for as long as I am able to do this job.

My point is the fact that this simple mistake made this dude angry enough to go home and compose this poorly worded message over a biscuit is entertaining to say the least.

I am willing to bet the anger over his food rasied his blood pressure more than actually eating the crap that McDonalds serves.

I understand his anger, I also understand that he probably over reacted a little. However if this is something that is repeatedly happening at that mcdonalds then corporate needs to know about it so they can make changes, and his writing a letter might have done just that. I do think that if you are going to have someone working with the public they should at least be able to communicate with them.

1st4x4, you can download a spell checker here so people will get off your back.

What do the spelling mistakes have to do with anything? His point is still made, if McD didn't want the feedback from customers they wouldn't have the option on the website. Changes won't get made if they don't know what's going on there.

The people that say it doesn't make a difference are probably the same ones that justify not going to vote by saying their vote doesn't count. A right that many of our grandfathers fought and died for by the way.

I'm usually pretty lenient with Mexican's and their language skills, as their English is almost always better than my Spanish, wish essentially consists of "bueno", "no bueno" and "she-e-e-et yes".........

In many parts of the country, if you want an employee to communicate with the majority of customers, that employee needs to speak Spanish, not English.

FWIW, McDonald's is not in charge of writing and enforcing our immigration laws, the federal government is. If you don't like that English has become a second language in your community, perhaps you should write to Congress, too. I'm sure they'll listen, after all, they work for you, lol.

Agreed. Why should people accept poor quality, regardless of what the job is? If it's something you're being paid to do, do it right, or be replaced by a person who will. From what I hear, there are plenty of people looking for work right now.

If a contractor didn't compact the soil properly before laying down a concrete slab and then the whole slab breaks up as the ground settles, is that OK cuz "people make mistakes"?

If someone misspells a word, 99.9% of people still understand the message, no harm done. If a doctor removes your manhood instead of your tonsils because he made a mistake, that's a little different.

Hater.

In the new world, you need to accept poor quality, because the person who is not living up to expectations did not have all the advantages that you had.

Please apologize for your high standards and get with the program. Big brother is watching. One more outburst of that kind of hate speech, and you are on the list.

Just kidding. Kind of.

If you use Google Chrome it will spell-check for you no matter where you are typing. I just tried and it works on McDonald's site, too.

I know that when time matters, fast food is an option; however, I normally try to patronize locally-owned restaurants---it may be a tad more expensive, but the food---and the service---is much better---not to mention that I am helping to support the local economy, not some giant corporation. The service tends to be better when people are "putting their name" on everything that they serve.

If no one speaks up about this stuff, because they are worried about over-reacting, then one day nobody will be able to understand your english. I say good for you. Take the power back. I feel like if you live in this country you should speak english. I bet, if you couldn't apply for welfare in spanish, more mexis would speak english
