My complaint to McDonalds

Yeah this location is new. Here is my letter I sent off this morning, It would have been longer but I was restricted to 1500 characters.

I live near this McDonalds and my wife and I have visited it a number of times since it first opened. When it first opened, everyone there was super-nice, orders weren't fast (as expected with a new opening) but they we're correct. Now, several months later, things have changed. I have noticed a number of new hires that do not speak fluent English. How do I know? I just "try" to talk to them. Beyond that, the orders are now coming out wrong. This morning, the latest rash of problems, my wife ordered a Bacon & Egg bicuit (No cheese), gravy biscuits, two sweet teas, & two hashbrowns. The order on the receipt is correct. However, the tea was nto ready at the window so my wife pulled forward to wait. She checked the bag, no hashbrowns, she told the person who brought out the tea and received her hashbrowns. She gets home and the biscuit contains bacon & Cheese (No EGG!) The order is right on the receipt. Your company has hired employees who are incapable of communicating and doing their jobs appropriately. That being said, this will be our last trip to McDonalds. I can and will spend my money elsewhere.

I wouldn't even waste my time on McD's. Just go somewhere else. I'm sure there is a local restaraunt that would appreciate your business.

It's fast food. Fast food pays minimum wage. What do you expect?

True, except for the fact that my area is hurting. I have had 4 people I dont even know, ask me for some work in the last week and a half. I've never drawn unemployment to compare 40 hours of minimum wage vs. unemployment. So I'm sure I dont fully understand. I hope its worth it to work for MW more then just drawing unemployment.

I don't care what race, sex, disability, or other "distinguishment" you may have, when I ask "How are you doing today?", I just want you to answer. In English. Not look at me and shrug your shoulders because you dont know what I said.

McDonald's is the lowest tier of fast food. If you want decent food and good service, go to Burger King!

So as bad as everyehere else has it, am I over-reacting? I always try to be decent to the people I encounter and sometimes talk to them just to be personable. But IMHO if you have a job as EASY as ****** McDonalds, and the damn receipt says "No cheese" you should be able to read the damn order and not put ANY ****** cheese on the damn biscuit. THAT IS YOUR ****** JOB!!!

If you are going to send a letter criticizing people of their ability to speak English you probably should have spell checked your "letter."

The fact that the website does not have spell check is a weak excuse. You live in America don't you? Microsoft Word has a spell and grammar check, can't you copy and paste?

The moral of the story is, the guy made a simple mistake, as did you when you typed your letter, as do many people everyday. Relax about the biscuit, it's not like the spit in it. I hardly think McDonalds will flinch when you say that you aren't going to patronize their establishment anymore.
