That's laughable.

If the historical Christian "conversion" techniques used in the past isn't a contradiction, I don't know what is.

You might be able to forget about the horrific violence, torture and murders, caused by Christians to 'convert' non-believers, but history doesn't allow us the luxory to forget such attrocities.

I was raised Lutheran. My wife went to a Baptist church some with her grandma but that's about it.

When we got serious she started asking me questions about why I believed that even if a little kid died early before they were baptized they would go to hell.

All I could say was that I was taught that he who believes in Christ, repents of their sins, and is baptized, will be saved.

We are born into sin. Original Sin. But to think that God would banish a baby to hell because the baby died before it was baptized is hard to imagine.

By the way my wife and baby were babtized last Christmas.

Just ask Hitler. He's up here right now. Right before he pulled the trigger he accepted Christ, so, according to the rules, he's in. The little **** has a great sense of humor too.

That's exactly how it works. The reason? I like F'in with you humans.

Now, everyone get out there and kill some Muslims. Do it my name.

And remember, I love all of you. (Even if I do have a damn peculiar way of showing it).

It's hard to argue this......It seems that the Crusaders weren't much different than the hard line Fundamental Islamics are today.

I would say that God looked down upon them and punished them for their sins. Even though they believed(wrongly) that they were doing Gods work. If they would have studied Jesus teachings, they would know that He taught mercy and forgiveness, not wrath and punishment. It is Gods place to judge, not humans.

Repenting is not like saying I'm sorry with your fingers crossed behind your back.

God knows the difference.

Very funny and shows what a contradiction organised religion is but this kind of post will sidetrack the thread into personal attacks and flaming.

I'm trying to get some good answers and info from our man on the forum with the direct hotline to God (That's Hines). Well, the way he preaches, that's my take on it.

I will continue to ask difficult questions while the thread stays open.
No deliberate traps or trying to make people look stupid. You won't be needing my help for that.

Lets continue this later this evening. I'm looking forwards to it.

Does he? Where does it say that in The Bible?
How about a baby Hindu that dies? Does he go to the Christian Heaven?

Many Christians believe in the age of accountability. If a child is too young to understand, they would be unable to recieve the gift of Gods grace. Sadly life after death is the only life many aborted babies will ever know.

That's a pretty big string, wouldn't you say.
Interesting, you see it with strings attached. I see it as a gift. Maybe it is a big string. A rope? A rope to wrap around your waist, and a chance for Him to save you.

Do you understand what the word repent means? To repent means that we wish to change. We are sorry for the sins we have committed in the past and we desire to not sin any more. Justice requires that if we sin (meaning to do something wrong), a penalty must be paid. Jesus paid that penalty for us when He died on the cross. But, that does not mean that we should go out and steal, pillage, murder and vandalize--knowing that no matter what we do someone else (Jesus) has paid the penalty for us.

Babies have not willfully disobeyed the the Word.

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9
8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
The Holy Spirit is who leads each of us to Christ. To deny Him, is the unpardonable sin. Not hearing of Christ is no excuse. All get the chance through the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

I'm pretty sure that the Lutherens believe that you must be babtized. I know that some parents have called for the pastor to come to the hospital if any complications arise during birth.

I always looked as it as a Cover your A** thing. Probabaly not the best way to look at it but that's what I always thought.
