Only one thing wrong with that argument...
They're still going to show up, because they are Americans, and they live here. They aren't going to give up their wealth, so they will continue to be taxed on it.
But, this is exactly why I am in favor of a flat tax... Be it 5, 10, 15, or 17%. Tax us all equally, and let it ride. So many wealthy people find write-offs and loop holes to get out of their fair share of paying taxes, that it's ridiculous. But it's legal, so no worries... Borderline well-to-do folks like me will continue to pay 20 - 25%, and still owe Uncle Sam at the end of the year. Even with us both contributing to our 401K's, my tuition, private school/daycare, and a child tax credit, I still end up owing $1,500 - $2,500 every year. But, I have friends making far more than I do, getting $5,000 - $6,000 refunds, as well as friends making far less getting $4,000 - $5,000 refunds.
It's bad to be in the middle.
Either that- or I need to stop paying H&R Block, and Jackson Hewitt do my damn taxes every year, and hire my own sleazy back-door accountant, like they do...

That is correct. I do pay tax twice. Also, the corporation pays taxes on net profit, not "paper" as Chris1450 stated.

Your not getting it. YES YOUR COMPANY PAYS TAXES. It is an expense for you right? It is figured into your calculations to know what to charge a customer for your services/products. IT IS PASSED ON TO THE CONSUMER! I don't know why as a business owner your not seeing this.
