Hate to wake everyone up!!

Heading to League City for a few days...leaving Friday. Staying at the wifes sisters house. We'll maybe even take "Goldilocks" for the trip to put some highway miles on her! Only 15K so far and sitting on her fat azz most days can't be good for her!

You take 90 up through Lafeyette to I-10.....???

Only trip I have on the books so far this week is a quick run up to Dallas and back.

I don't have much of a choice but to go that way. Going through Lafayette is a real rough ride for about 5 miles. Once I get on 10 West it's not too bad. At least I'm not pulling the camper.

Was starting to get an oil pressure indicator on the ‘05 Escape when the engine was at idle and had reached full operating temperature. I was thinking this was probably just a sign that the vehicle now has 200k+ miles on the odometer, but then I changed the oil last weekend and the problem seems to have gone away.

I’m thinking now that the thing might just leak enough oil that it was a tad low as I got late into the last oil change cycle? I’ll keep an eye on it during this change and hope for the best - the thing runs so good that I’d really like to get another 50k-75k out of it if I could. My plan is to buy the wife a new Escape the summer of 2020 and take over her current ‘08 Taurus (just rolled 20k miles) and drive it into the ground as my last work vehicle.

We’ll see though - there are an awful lot of “if’s and but’s” to that plan.....

I have two trucks in my fleet right now - neither of which has had anything in their bed besides the rubber bed mat and an occasional carefully-placed suitcase. As such, there have been several occasions since I got rid of my old ‘97 Ranger where I wanted to haul crap and didn’t because I didn’t want to scuff-up the beds of either truck! There are days when I really miss that old Ranger......

I didn’t really think I would ever return either. My best friend has a 2016 F250, and he got bit by the mod bug. He is at the audio system now and asked for my help, So I stopped in to see if I could track down any of the old audio. Since I was in the area I thought I’d drop a line and see what was going on.

Got back yesterday evening from Houston. Thought it was dry over there and I was wrong! Just as much rain as us...was planing on going to Galveston but they had 11 inches of rain over the weekend. At least we had a good time seeing the wife's older sister and her husband. Truck did good on the highway and averaged 16.7 mpg on the 650 mile round trip and still show over 120 miles left in the 48 gallon tank. Wife went to work this morning so I'm doing clothes and getting ready to mow the lawn while it's still sunny outside!

you're still hung up on that?

I thought I made it up to you with all the mods and extra surprises on your truck
