Let's start over......
Was finally able to track down the original owner of the 2001 Mustang I picked up earlier this summer and got some background on what was done to the car as far as maintenance and modifications over the 17-years he owned it. The only mods are a CAI, a Mach 1 chin spoiler, Magnaflow mufflers welded into the the original exhaust system, a cue ball shift ****, and aftermarket pedal covers. The only maintenance he did was oil changes every 1000 miles - even the wiper blades are factory originals!
Now I have a better idea of where I need to start with my ownership - a coolant flush and brake fluid flush are probably at the top of the list.....

Thought about you last night as I was watching the Meachem Auto Auction. They had several low mileage Lincoln’s and Ford’s go across with no reserve that sold well worth the money. I really liked a 1966 Galaxy and a 1963 Galaxy. A red 55 TBird sold for 19,000 and a black 55 TBird went for 22,000. Both seemed well worth that. Some of the Lincoln’s went for 4,000.

Maybe your wife’s Expedition will be one of those auction cars some day.....???
^ That’s like detailing three Mustangs....
That thing might be a real oddity some day if you hang onto it - heavy duty rigs like that are usually worked into the ground by their original owners. The way you use it could almost be considered “garage queen” treatment for that kind of a truck - one of your grandsons may already be planning for the day when you can no longer drive so they can take over “gramps” truck.....

I love both the’63 and ‘65+ square bodies. My dream would be a ‘61 Starliner in concours condition, but those are rare (and expensive) birds! Never really cared for the ‘60 full-sizers, but as I get older they’ve kind of grown on me!
