Typical old Cajun house...lots of them are still standing in my area. Most were built using cypress.
The Cajun people had it bad over the years..these people lived off the land. No help from the government back then...you had to make do with what you had or starve. Almost nothing was thrown away. You had to hunt..fish or trap for food and houses were what you could scrounge to build with. The Boucherie or pig roast is something to see..just about everything on the hog is used. Animals tend to run the other way when they see a Cajun in the area!

Getting the new truck itch. Once the house is closed and we're moved in, I'm gonna have a little extra cash from equity... might need a new truck in the driveway of the new house.
