Weird -- the last tank of gas I ran through my Cavalier got me the WORST mileage I've had with it in awhile -- 25.87 mpg. And that was with virtually all highway miles -- before that I had been averaging around 31 mpg for quite a few tanks in a row.
I've got a trip down to Corpus Christi and back on the books for this week and I'm going to watch the mileage to see if that last tank was just a fluke. If not, I might go ahead and do a full tune-up on it since I am approaching 90,000 miles on the factory plugs and wires.
It don't need a tune up. I went 160k on original plugs, Changed em out and not a bit of a difference

That was the same with my old '97 Ranger when I changed the plugs and wires at around 110k -- didn't notice a bit of difference in the performance of the vehicle!
passenger side was only complaint. New one fits much better! Still a gap to the kick panel but everything else fits better. The 1st one seemed to sit sideways, this one doesn't.
Yesterday son in law and myself took a ride to Grand Isle to check on the camp that's being given a facelift. Vinyl siding coming off and replaced with hardie board. New porches and stairs to be built also. Camp will then be painted a light yellow to give it an island look. Ended up bringing the Ranger crew back to get serviced and fix an oil leak. The workers were enjoying the mid 70's weather yesterday.

Bounced back to 31.53 mpg on this tank -- and that was after battling a nasty headwind all the way down to Corpus on Wednesday. Not sure what happened with that last tank -- I usually don't get down into the mid-20's unless it's blazing hot in the summer and I'm doing a lot of short trips around town.
Picked up another handgun to add to my collection. This may be my favorite one yet!
It's a mil-spec Remington 1911 .45, same exact model that Remington manufactured for the army during World War II. For those of you who may not know, these 1911s, along with the Colt, Browning, and Springfield 1911s, were the standard issue sidearm for the US armed forces from 1911 to 1986, before being replaced by the 9mm Beretta 92. It was also a pretty popular mobster gun I have wanted one of these since I was 10 years old!
