Let's start over......
I think we got lucky and timed our trip perfectly. Over here a lot of rain is predicted for the weekend. Need to get the lawn mowed.
My part of Houston was able to dodge the brunt of the rain that came through last night -- most of it moved slightly north of us. The ground here is so saturated with moisture and the creeks and rivers so full of water that it will take very little additional rainfall to put many of the local roadways underwater again. Lots more heavy rain is in the forecast for the next few days, so we're not out of the woods by any stretch of the imagination yet.
Time for a plug change. Called the Dealer and they want 16.99 a piece for the plugs and 9.99 a piece for the coil boots.
Ordered the boots for $3.90 a piece on rock auto and autozone ordered the plugs for $6.99. Just a tad bit of a difference

You take them home?

Got my plugs and have em gapped to .028, ready to install tomorrow. 22k miles since last plug change. Not sure how I made it to 40k on the first set

Hopefully the coils come off easy, last time they were stuck on pretty good!

Right?
Pretty sad the v8 can go 5 times longer on plugs than the EB. Figured by now they would come up with a better plug or system. Alot of people change every 10 to 15k miles!
Atleast they are easy to change.

Are you near the Brazos?
