Thanks for the info, the insurance papers used truecar.com to locate some but they were already sold. Looking for 02 to 04 M Classes if possible. Found a nice ML500 in DFW that looks pretty sharp, 2 toned leather seats, every option imagine able but the price is pretty low. Makes me wonder what it really like in person. Also found one in Lubbock that is the color we had but they think it's made out of gold and wants almost double what it's worth.

That's tough to hear, I wish there were words that make something like that just go away. Sorry to hear about the losses.

We had 4 inches of rain yesterday and about one more inch this morning. None yet so far this evening but if we do I'll be glad to send some over!!

Enjoying the in-laws place on the river in North Western Ontario Canada. Beautiful weather and lots of beer!

Gotta love advertising. The "nitrogen" in Shell gas refers to the nitrogen molecule in the amine polyetheramine in the formulation as a cleaning agent. It's identical to Techron. Nothing wrong with it, just advertising the same thing as something different. As of today, there is no better cleaning agent to have in your gas.

Yea, but nitrogen sounds like a vitamin to make your vehicle healthier. Techron sounds like (oh my gosh!) a chemical, and we all know chemicals are BAD!

On the pumps the V-Power premium is the only one that shows nitrogen enriched. I wonder if the 87 and 89 have it also? The wife says the nitrogen will match the nitrogen in her tires!!

When I worked for Texaco years ago we had Petrox...Gulf had No-Nox and Shell had Platformate. Since Chevron bought the Texaco name a few years back you'll notice any Texaco stations now have Techron additive in the gas. Same as Chevron has.

All I have ever used until the last couple weeks is Chevron. But I think they are up to no good at the moment. It's a stripes station but supposedly they sell chevron gas, yet all the other 40 stripe stations in town is selling non branded gas at the stripes. Last 2 tanks I ran I was getting higher knock readings than normal, therefore I don't think it's chevron.

Switched to 93 octane at short stop and my KR went down. Last tank I did Shell and I don't have any postive KR to speak of.

Plus for a town over 100k in population it's BS we don't have any good gas stations. Only Top Tier Gas we have right now is Shell and they are almost .40 cents a gallon more at the moment
