Have a few pics, didn't take any before since I thought it would be a "easy" detail. Boy was I wrong. Went through 1 clay bar on just the hood and passenger front fender. About 4 hours claying whole vehicle yesterday, then did finishthe hood with compound, polish, sealant and wax. Got the passenger side all finished, Figure I'll be done by Thursday. Once I'm done I'll pull it out and get some good sun shots etc. With all this damn wind etc it's hard to keep the vehicle clean. That's why I'm just doing 1 side at a time.

My truck has the back up sensors and I hate them. If you're backing into a parking space it'll pick up the curb and start beeping like crazy. It always scares the hell out of me

The car's looking good! I can tell the difference from your first post.

Red seems to be fairly forgiving with "neglect". It doesn't seem to look bad until you detail it. My Silverado was red and the only thing I ever did to it was occasionally spray some spray wax on it after a wash, I never even hard waxed it. I thought it looked good, until I seen it after I traded in and they had it detailed.

It always amazes me how far you can bring back a neglected finish...

That's one fast Nissan!! Looks like he doesn't get going until midway down the track then takes off like a rocket. If that's a 1/4 mile hitting 200 mph in a street driveable car is amazing.

Holy Geez, I am done! This is the longest detail ever and its not 100 percent but i am done! This thing literally changed colors from start to finish.

What do you think Patrick?

Spent another hour on the inside getting all the greasy shine the dealer's detail guy sprayed everywhere and cleaned and conditioned the seats. Now for it to sit in my garage until dad decides he's going to drive it.

Hopefully its not like when he first got the 99. Drove it home from the dealer, drove it to work for a week and parked it in the shop for 5 years without touching it. . He hasn't even seen this one yet and doesn't seem in a hurry to. Not sure what the deal with that is, but atleast it'll look nice when he does get ready.

Here is a pic when it was sitting at the dealer, i think this is the one Patrick sent.

Looks as if you painted it a brighter red.

No Kidding. I first thought it may just be the difference in the phone cameras, but the pic i took with my phone after getting it up on the trailer is the same color as the one sitting at the dealer. Now every pic i take is the bright red. I kinda like it better

Im sure it will change a little from Cloudy and Sun pics but i haven't seen many colors to change as much as this.
