Well, vacation is over -- back on the road again tonight.....

With all the rain we've had here in Texas over the weekend, God knows how many places I'll be traveling over the next few weeks. I have a trip up to Sherman already booked for later this week, and I suspect there will be quite a few more very wet jobs I'll need to look at as the builder's get back in their subdivisions and see what they have on their hands.....

Here's pics from last Sunday when I had the truck all cleaned up. She's dirty again. I did at least rinse the bird poop and mud off of her this afternoon

Drying out today after the 7.75 inches of rain we had yesterday. Luckily we haven't had much rain this past month and it soaked in the ground quickly. Winds up to 60 mph last night and a few small tornado's touched down about 40 miles from here.

Okay, gentlemen, I need some smart financial advice.

In a few months I will be the recipient of a sum of $10,000. I'd like to do something smart with this chunk of money. This will be the largest sum of money I've received at one time, so I'm not really sure what exactly to do with it. I could put it in a savings account, sure, but I'd much prefer to have that amount of money make me more money. What's the best way to make that money grow? Thoughts?

Put it in an IRA or a Roth, then forget about it unless you are going to make more contributions to it.

Since you're still young, I'd drop that in a Roth and let it grow for 30-40 years.....

Kind of tough in today's economy. Just spend it on cars..women and booze...then squander the rest!!
