Nope, Probably a V8 trying to keep up with a ecoboost and it overheated

Trying to find a good shop in the dfw area for some dyno runs and to install some goodies.. I have decided to keep the truck and about to order some stuff.

So far this is what i have

Stage 2 Afe Kit
Afe Charge Pipe
73mm throttle body
Stainless Works Chambered Cat Back
Off Road Down Pipes
New Motorcraft Plugs
Full Race Intercooler
170 Thermostat
water/meth injection
Retune with MPT

This should be a pretty good bump, And im still under 5k for everything.. Hoping to have my order in by friday afternoon and have everything installed by first week of october.

Have you done the pipe insulation mod on the cold line in the engine bay yet? Did that on mine and it definitely feels colder.

Got back this evening from Houston...made good time untill we hit traffic from Orange, Texas to Vinton, La. due to an accident. 3 hr delay getting back. 19.6 mpg going and 17.4 coming back even with the stop and go traffic for miles.

Good Grief! Just think how fast you would be if you had a 5.0 and spent that much on it. An 11 second truck and it would sound awesome.

It's usually some Hyundai that's about 2-5 years old with the clear coat already peeling off. Nothing like the smell of burning plastic in the morning.

You would spend double the money on the 5.0 compared to the Eb. I found out that i dont need the afe charge pipe since the full race intercooler comes with one, so that knocked the price down 400 bucks. All together im looking at 3900 bucks.

With just the Intake, Down Pipes, 170 tstat, meth kit, intercooler, , and custom tune several ebs have put down 450hp/530torque to the rear wheels. Thats not including the exhaust and throttle body that i have on my list.

Also found a place in Houston that has 58mm turbo's for the Eb.. but thats another 2k in price.

Just made me think about the old Hyundai my wife drove while she was in college and we were dating. Oh, the stories I could tell about that car:

Many of which would end with a.....

Others that would end with a.....

And one or two that would end with a.....

Or a.....
