Same here man. Its not Facebook causing this though, I don't think. Something has turned people off from this site. Traffic is traffic and people barely post here anymore. The regulars once over here are now over there. O
I used to be up late countless nights during college reading. There's very little activity here. Not everything here was "quality" but banter or conversation. It's all over there now. I've seen it said before on other forums: people love this site for the tech...I think that's what it's turned into unfortunately. I know for me I'm busy at work now so I can't post but there's no way everyone is going through that.

I said this more than once, - it's the color. Since they changed it's been down hill. The site looks like crap now IMO or just bla, like most every other. This site stood out at one time. What attracted me to this at first was the vibrant green and other colors and it kept me coming back. It had a style of it's own. Someone had to screwed with a good thing and trashed it... made it look lame anyway IMO.

 

Patrick, sorry to here..that's terrible. Perhaps others can do something to sort of get the word out? These sites get quite a few Texas viewers. Guess I'm trying to put myself in that situation, - I really can't imagine. I hope and pray that she's okay.

maybe you should kill this thread and encourage new post about daily things to get the lurkers to jump in.

i have never posted in this and have looked at it maybe 3 or 4 times, seems like a private posting for a few. kind of like hosting a party and spending the night chatting with 3 people in a tight circle. " it screams "private conversation, move on" and it always has the top of the page and the moderators feed it.

of coarse in todays world who know why people own websites, does activity really mean anything or does the total members justify the advertising revenue.
does have a thriving board with lots of active member really mean anything to the bottom line?

 

Everyone and anyone is welcome to join in and many do from time to time. Stick around, post here, and I think you will see that no one is excluded that wants to be a part of it.

Anyone can start a thread in GD at any time, that's what it is for. I can't see how closing this thread would encourage that.
