Never been to Damon actually. We take 1462 east toward Rosharon, go into the Pecan Bend area. Their place is next to Brazos Bend State Park. I doubt the people in Damon even know what yogurt is.

No times, it was just street style 1\8 mile racing.

My nephew's ranch is on Lake Tankersley in between Lochridge and Rosharon. It's been about 10 yrs since I've been there. I had to look it up on Google Earth...That's MawMaw's sister's oldest son.

I'm a fan of unofficial, arm drop-type drag races. That's how our 1/8 "track" is in College Station.

Thanks, it was my worse run of the night, i hit second gear and it just spun and fishtailed a little bit.. All the other runs the truck was launching perfect, with minimal tire spin. It was getting towards the end of the night and they werent prepping it as much as before. We use to have a 1/4 mile within a few miles of the house but they shut it down, closest to us now is Abilene 90 miles away and lubbock or midland.. After Saturday night i think there will be more racing in my future

Coy, I'm glad you had fun running your truck down the track Saturday night. Racing is a very expensive, deep, dark, rabbit hole you're thinking about leaping into think long and hard before doing so because more is never enough in racing. This is coming from someone that was heavily involved with two local short track pit crews with one car placing second in points.

what was the name of that track? It was out in the middle of a cotton farm. Ran my 54 there several times back in the 80's
