i have never posted in this and have looked at it maybe 3 or 4 times, seems like a private posting for a few. kind of like hosting a party and spending the night chatting with 3 people in a tight circle. " it screams "private conversation, move on" and it always has the top of the page and the moderators feed it.

of coarse in todays world who know why people own websites, does activity really mean anything or does the total members justify the advertising revenue.
does have a thriving board with lots of active member really mean anything to the bottom line?
why clutter up things with new threads....

this is a good place to post up about little blurps in our every day lives....instead of starting a new thread for it....imo

this is also a good place to get a little bit funny, silly, and stupid also...if we were to do that in other threads the admin would probably frown on that...

as said before everyone is welcomed to join in....

this thread is quietly creeping towards 100k in posts and hasn't really caused any harm to anyone and there has been new members that have posted in here before looking for a little guidance and help on how to do things within the forum....now if they would have started a new thread it might have gone unnoticed or have gotten flamed....

if anything the search engines are the ones who are impedeing forum activity.....a quick search on let's say Google will pull up a multitude of information in which a prospect new member or existing member just had to read and not join a forum to ask their question....

the boys soccer game yesterday was a farce....travelled 3 hours to get to the town....got 16.5 mpg would've been better if I hadn't been going 85 mph the whole way

why the game was bad is that the refs who are supposed to be impartial to the teams and call it both ways were being very one sided towards the home team...of course they were from the next town over.....pretty much they were allowing a predominantly older team compromised of mostly seniors beat up on a our team which has mostly 8th graders...with 5 minutes left the refs through a yellow card on one of the other teams players....this is only after 6 of our players went down from flagerant injuries.....our parents cheered as that boy was carded...

as I walked out I talked to the other schools administer...I told him I'm sending in the video of this game to see what the governing organization has to say about it.....his mouth just dropped....he said you can't do that....I said watch me....

To go along with this. When I was searching for stuff about my 2002 F150, there were two sites that would frequently pop up on google, this one and fordf150.net. Now when I search for stuff regarding my 2011, f150forum pops up a lot more.

That and if someone were to search "F150" "forum" it sends you to a different one first based on the name of the website

It's funny we've been talking about this for the past couple of days, because it seems like the rest of the forum has picked up a bit of activity.

Or maybe it's my imagination because I don't venture out of GD and the '09-'14 section all that often.
