Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. I've been doing some research. There seems to be a 50/50 verdict of their actual purpose. But, as I said before, I'm kind of timid when it comes to messing with power beyond my understanding I'll probably put them back in just to be on the safe side.

Yeah, they're very easy. Just pop off the topside intake tubes. There are 3 hose clamps you'll need to loosen, one on each part of the upper intake tubes (start at the filter box and work your way across the tube. You won't have to take off the intake tube on the throttle body). Then pop off the Y-shaped connector tube. You'll see the silencer pieces sitting in the end of the tubes, one in each tube running to each turbo. Just pull them straight out. However, I may just end up putting them back in. The louder whistle is awesome, but I don't want to compromise power or quality.

Take a look at this thread. It's gotten heated a few times and slightly off topic, but still helpful in some parts:

I don't think the Ford engineer's would waste a nickel on them if they weren't needed!!

Thanks Pat, I've been using photobucket to edit but they don't offer much. I had Paint Shop Pro 7 on my old computer and I loved it but I don't have the installation disc, it was a freebee from my computer repair shop! So far the online editors I've seen don't offer all PSP did. If I can't find one that does, I'll just buy PSP. It's a great program.

Yea.....Not.

Availability, Pricing and Additional Information MSRP for the FOURSIXTEEN model is set to start at $152,000 for the complete vehicle, which includes the base P85Model S sedan. This is priced before existing state and federal EV incentives which can range from $7,500 to $15,000 depending on the buyers state (i.e. A California resident would pay $142,000.00).
