Well the crew just finished up and it looks good. Monday they'll come back and take the boards off...I think I'll replace the grating with a flat piece of steel. About a week with this weather before putting the trailer on it. I know my daughter and son in law can't wait to get it out of their driveway.

Then he began bolstering his dump truck income by buying an old four-wheeler and doing snow plowing during the winter when the dump truck business was slow. A few years after that he bought a Snap-On tool truck and route from the guy who sold him tools for his dump truck business. Now he makes a very nice living with just the Snap-On gig.

You can kind of see the progression where he took the skills and/or contacts he developed at one job and used them to create better opportunities for himself moving forward.
Well, I'm not exactly going to get any job that I can make a career out of till I can get a paper from a college etc. So scratch even that for at least a couple years. I just want something I can do myself for some extra cash for the time being. There's a lot of work I can do with my truck that lazy folks will pay for, that doesn't require much. It'd be very feasible to run a small gig for the time being, and that certainly wouldn't hurt the experience factor

Yeah -- I'd definitely replace the grating with some heavy iron plate if the city will let you. You just know something you don't want down in that hole will end up down that hole if you go with the grate again!
