Let's start over......
5 inches deep...3000# mix....all slabs will get cracks down here sooner or later!!
We will as soon as I can print some more money!!
Thanks...I kind of measured it out in the yard and the contractor finished it out with the phone app that he had. Shows a satellite view with angles of the slab...pretty neat.

that is neat
Best time is when you're young but you'd better get some on the job experience before attempting it. Good idea to take classes on how to run and manage a business also.
There's a spot here that helps people who are looking to start businesses, they can help with a lot of that I'm sure. I'm just thinking of something small I can do for a little extra money
That's not exactly a solid business plan -- you probably need to go get some years under your belt doing work for someone else so at least you have a skill or an area of expertise.
As an example, I had a cousin back in Minnesota who started out driving a dump truck for a local firm. After a few years, he purchased his own truck and went into the hauling business for himself. Then he began bolstering his dump truck income by buying an old four-wheeler and doing snow plowing during the winter when the dump truck business was slow. A few years after that he bought a Snap-On tool truck and route from the guy who sold him tools for his dump truck business. Now he makes a very nice living with just the Snap-On gig.
You can kind of see the progression where he took the skills and/or contacts he developed at one job and used them to create better opportunities for himself moving forward.
