These all red ones are cheap enough though that I don't care if they screw up. It's fine now that I adhered the board back down.

Hey gang, took a quick trip to San Marcos,Tx. to pick up my Grandson from camp. My Daughter and I left Friday morning and came back yesterday evening. Put a little over a thousand miles in two day's. Also stopped in Houston to see my Nephew in the hospital. Close to hitting the roof in the parking garage! Hate driving in Houston's downtown hospital district.

That's a lot of miles in a quick trip. I hate driving in any part of Houston. The hospital district is always busy plus you have the zoo in the same area.

We did. I didn't want my Daughter driving by Herself so being retired I volunteered Myself! Took about 2 tank's of gas in my truck so PawPaw got to pick up the tab for that. Daughter paid for the hotel and most of the food. My Grandson's almost 12 and He slept almost all the way back. I would have liked to have spent one or two day's more but He's got to start school this week.

The San Marcos-New Braunfels area is a nice place to visit.

Nephew's in the Hermann hospital and the first time I've been in there. Close to Rice University where He went to college back in the late 70's. My Wife was in St.Joseph's 12 yrs. ago for breast cancer surgery and my youngest Daughter was in St.Luke's 2 yrs ago for kidney cancer surgery. Both are doing fine so it's show's what kind of treatment you get in these hospital's.

We stayed in Canyon Lake about 10 yrs ago and went to New Braunfel's, Johnson City and the fringes of San Antonio. Hill country is real nice even though it was 102 degrees Friday afternoon.

sounds like what you do for your family is a lot like what my grandfather used to do for his daughters and us grandkids when he retired from farming......I always enjoyed traveling with him....every trip was a good lesson in the history of the areas we traveled....

Hope you feel better after that ride. Got to go now because we are having a severe thunderstorm right now.

On Tuesday, I will have had my truck for one year. It has 34,000 on it with no problems and mpg is still at 19.5 for the 34,0000 miles. It does get dirty too quickly, but so did my 2005. East Texas is hard on clean vehicles.

It's not just the exterior. The interior gets filled with sand off your shoes. The mats always look terrible and the front of the truck and windshield are always covered with bugs.
