The lower valance came painted from Roush but they must have some idiots working in the paint shop there because the thing has about a billion rock chips in the paint.

It was brand new painted from Roush. They must not have followed proper procedure, I assume with prepping the urethane. IMO explains the rock chip fest.

is it actually chipping/flaking or is the paint pitting, kinda like inverted dome in the clear?

It's chipping off, exposing white underneath. it was flawless when I got it initially.

Had to redo the darn led 3rd again. Getting tired of the poor design. Not because of a leak but the led board fell off the back of the housing. I took it apart and rtv'd it back on. Also decided to try some closed cell weatherstripping to seal instead of silicone. We shall see if it leaks again...

Went and had some fun yesterday.....

We all went over to Okoboji, IA and went to the little amusement park, also went jet skiing, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, .....the boy missed out though....he's in that stage where anything to do with the family is kids stuff....I told the wife we're leaving him at home and we'll have fun without him....he was pissed when we showed him the pictures....

a flipping ride at the amusement park took me out last night....felt like it tore something in my gut....it was a fun ride but that hurt bad........it was called the spider....I've also seen in other parks called octopus

I had a Recon do the same and I had to redo it the same way but never put it on and sold it. The **** poor design is both the light and the Ford overall design of the leak prone thing.

the recon one I got last year is still going strong....

that other eBay pos one that I had started burning out bulbs...

I'll have to agree that 3rd brake light design should've been revisted before the 09+ came out...the newer ones are still having this issue too....that component design is not right...
