Let's start over......
Three of my friends have probably shot over 15,000 rounds combined this summer and I'm only closing in on maybe a 1,000 rounds this year. I have while before I have to think about new barrels for my Glock and my 1911.
that bites....keep that up and you'll get banned from slacker nation.....
I paid a guy to do my reloads....it worked out to be 40% less than the store price....he was reloading for 30 shooters at the time....that allowed him to buy in bulk which helped everyone.
my 1996 benelli has had three barrels, that's from shooting those dang flurry sporting clay tourneys....
its been quite a site the last few days traveling on I-90....with the Sturgis motorcycle ralley going on in the Black Hills there's a lot of bikes to watch out for....
Too many bikes and people to be around out there this week...I don't go there any more.....six years in a row was enough in my younger years...

back when I did the competitive shooting I'd go through 12k a year and I was on the circuit for 5 years.....

Was that all shotgun or metallic cartridge he was reloading for you? That's a lot of shotgun ammo to run through three barrels. All my friends do there own reloads and using the Dillon 650XL and I'm planning on reloading a total of 5 calibers 9mm, 45ACP, 30-30, 5.56, and 308. Plus I'm probably going to try and start a 3 gun league next summer so I have a feeling I'm going to be running a lot of brass over the winter.
I used to have him reload the 2.75" long brass shot gun shells with trap loads....
then the other calibers he'd reload were 9mm, 45,+38....he also has his own 22 LR that he sold for the indoor league that I shot during the winter months...
the majority of my shooting competitions were with the shotgun.....watching clays blow apart still is a lot more fun than putting holes in paper for me...
not quite, week vacation finally lol. Got the trailer set up and a few tents so everyone isn't on top of each other.
Batman was a great movie!
Have a great time, post up some pics when you get a chance!
