Let's start over......
Found a HOG magazine at work today, while flipping through the pages found a cool article. A couple of months ago a beachcomber out in British Columbia, Canada found a storage container washed up on the beach and in side was a Harley. Turned out that the container and bike got washed away during the tsunami that hit Japan last year

When I bought mine new last year it listed for $44,300 and I got $9k off. I'd look at a new '12 Lariat or XLT which you ought to get easily at 9 to 10k buck's off the sticker. The '10 model Lariat you're going to look at is nice but most of the warranty is up and already 3 model yr's old. Remember our buddies in the tax dept. need their money too so allow 8 to 9% tax on the purchase price. Just my opinion on a high dollar purchase.

We only pay 3% sales tax on vehicles....
Then there's some states that have a graduated depriciation tax.....
Ours is a one time state sales tax.
But we do pay a wheel tax each year and that varies depending on the county one resides in...

4% Louisiana sales tax plus up to 5% local taxes, this is not counting license fees or any other BS fees they charge. For year's I lived in Plaquemines parish where all we paid at the time was 3% state tax on everything. No local taxes but all that's changed now.
