I think I'm just going to go this route... should be less of a headache. The JVC one looks like an awesome HU. My huge thing with it is that the faceplate detaches... that is such an amazing feature. That's why I was going to do the shaker - didn't want theft. Looks like I'll hold onto the shaker but do this instead. So 449 for the HU, 99 for the box, 119 for the sub and then the amp and sub install kits. I'm still amazed at how much better these Excelon speakers sound off the crappy factory HU. Such a big difference. I think I'm going to pee myself when I get this system done

Dang I might definitly have to get some of those. I don't know too much about audio so bear with me here, did it make it any louder? What I don't get is that when I play my CD's it's pretty loud, but if I switch to the radio it gets a lot quieter...I don't get it, it's barely audible if I have my windows down. It's always been like this...?

On my 2006 there wasn't any difference between the cd and radio and that was the oem 6 disc.....now on the 2010 sport trac nav/sync the hard drive is louder than the radio, the radio and cd /dvd are the same and the usb is just a little bit quieter.
