As you well know I'm sure, no project, and I mean no project comes about without a little bit of financing. So what if a millionaire wants a rare muscle car but cant do it on his own because he is running his own business that afforded him the luxuries in the first place. Thats where guys like Boyd and Foose come into play. They design the cars, build the cars, get paid for their work and the millionaires drive the cars.
Your arguement is like saying that someone should not pay someone else to build their new house. In your eyes, everyone should be able to do everything by themself. We all cant do everything ourselves. If we could, business' who provide services would come to a screeching halt. When it all boils down, your arguement holds water like a paper sack.

I think it came out pretty good for a first machine dispite what the critics say, and not everyone has the money to send a servicable machine thru a shop getting the engine, transmission, final drives and hydraulics redone before going to a bodyshop to get a custom paint job that would make most cars enveyous.

Dr. Franko, everyone has their opinions and we can all agree to that. But your opinion is a little skewed. All of these people started some where and worked their way up the totem pole. Now you're going to fault them for being successful, creating beautiful cars that people will be lavish money for? It just doesn't make sense.
simple supply and demand
think as years go buy there are less and less quality donor cars, in the same time those baby boomers (anyone 44-62)are now old enuff and rich enuff to buy one, midlife crisis anyone?
I have a feeling in 40 years clean CRX's will be fetching 10-20 grand and integras will be fetched up like hotcakes and rebuilt as Type-R clones... hell look at the supra and rx7. those damn cars already fetch a premium
