I highly doubt any of us have a trust fund waiting for us, i sure know i dont. So dont talk to us like we are stupid rich people who dont know anything about money. It is worth every hour i work to get the money and spend it on my truck. It is what we love and what we enjoy.

But attacking someone who made a valid point that you chose to misconstrue because you have a chip on your shoulder and think you deserve everything that’s GIVEN to you. . . Grow up what are you still 15 and need to validate your feelings of inadequacy by bulling a man who is stating an opinion, if that’s hating then everyone who has the freedom of speech, or a mind to think with is "hating" grow up and learn about the real world, Because an attitude like you have and a good work ethic in this world amounts to jack *****. Attitude, work ethic, self reliance, and a good personality will get you ahead. You have a nice truck, yes you appreciate it that’s great there is no need to put yourself on a pedestal because you did house chores, son you would have no clue what real work is and don’t try to act like you would. I am almost embarrassed for you. You can return with whatever smart @ss comment you need to, to make yourself feel better about your petty little world but all I have heard from you so far is spoiled rotten garbage. Oh and dennisfranz I fully understood what you were saying, though it a shame some people can tangle reality into such a bind that up is down ,and left is right, and try and convince you of the same. But again to you kids have a good time with your toys if you've got'em enjoy them, but remember there is more to life.
I think it's great that some of high schoolers and recent grads have nice trucks, no matter who paid for those trucks and even if all you're having to pay for are mods and gas. There isn't anyone on this site that would have turned down a nice, safe and reliable truck from our parents if we were in the same situation, I know I surely wouldn't have.
Enjoy your trucks and your youth while you got it. One day you'll be out there in the real world with the rest of us really working your tail off and having to pay all the other bills as well. Until then though keep posting those nice trucks and take care of of them.
I guess the '71 Datsun pickup my parents bought me the summer of '76 is put to shame by these new Fords.
But I have to agree, it was sure fun modding it. Most all of my money went to the mods, gas, maintenance and insurance, but it was sure fun back in the day.
Now with a few gray hairs I own a King Ranch and the modding bug is still there. Guess growing up is tough to do on some issues.

Well, I should join in the fun here and show off my first truck that i drove in highschool, first i will give some details on it.
I bought a real old, POS Ford lawn mower for 150 bucks, in grade 8, ripped the motor out, new piston, rings, and valves, and it was running good.
Gave it a fresh coat of paint and a new seat from the local tractor supply store and then put it up for sale on the front lawn, got 1600 bucks for it.
I had saved up another thousand dollars from working (i was in grade 8 and it was summer break, i worked for my dad's boss at a dump truck company painting side boards and greasing dump trucks) and i started hunting the papers, looking for a project 4x4 to hot rod.
Well, one saturday afternoon, dad and I where driving the back roads, seeing if there was anything on someones front lawn for sale when i seen it, and i knew it had to be mine.
1992 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 super cab
3 inch body lift
bald tires
ripped and stained carpet
poor paint, body work
poor doors
$2500 bucks
Went back on the sunday and paid cash for it and we snagged our buddies dealer plate and drove it back to our house, here is what it looked like the day i brought it home

and here is what it looked like when i finished it, after 4 years and about 7 thousand dollars extra

I loved that truck to death, only offroaded it twice, and both times it was just in a feild after it rained, nothing severe at all.
It was unfourtanate that I sold it, I was promised an apprenticeship at a motorcycle shop I was working at, they told me to get signed up for the school and let them know when i was going, and when i did, and worked out what i would be making and paying for the scholing, gas, insurance and food, I could not afford the gas on that truck, and, being as they said it was a good to go situation, I traded my truck, that i spent 4 years building, putting every penny i could into it to make it exactly how i dreamed in grade 8, I traded it in on a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon 5 speed car, that got 32 miles to the gallon.
Then they said that if I went to school, then I wouldnt be able to come back to a job, so I was out 400 dollars for a first semester, my truck, stuck in a car that I HATED, and just overly peeved off.
I found the guy that bought my truck, and tried to buy it back, but he wont budge, he says it is what he dreamt of doing, identicle, and instead of taking the time to do it, he bought my old truck right off the lot.
Now, I am graduated High School, have a full time job as a mechanic at a different shop, I traded in the Hyundai for my new truck, 2002 Ford F150 FX4 short box regular cab.
I love it, I have a Dynomax Bullet exhaust, and now, an Intake that I won off ebay, works alot better now, I am just saving up to buy the Edge Evo.

P.S. Yes, I paid for every part of that truck, including gas and insurance

I have a 2007 f150 fx4, the sticker price was 38 they took off 8 and I traded in a 06 putang in on it as well. The difference was 16k. Im not gunna say I paid for it bcuz I didnt, I am paying my dad 5k of it plus when my brother has the money to buy my old blazer, that money will go to my dad as well. But I am paying for all of my mods, which will include the 8" RIZE and probably 37" Nitto M/G withthe moto metal 951 blacks. I have enough saved up for just the lift with the 2" AAL and extended brake lines and blisteins front and back, and am planning on getting those here soon. Maybe if Im lucky I can get maybe my tires or wheels kinda as a early graduating present or something. Ill be a senior this year btw.
