As for me Day 1 is going well, but i hated the car ride to work. I took a bottle of water with me in the car and everytime i thought about a cig i started drinking some. Now i just have to find a trash can to throw away the empty bottle ! j/k it really wasnt that bad. I know i can get threw lunch today with little to no problem, but it's leaving work and passing that gas station i always buy from is what will hit me. Oh yeah coffee tastes really really good today since it's the next best thing.

Sugar Free: Gum, candy, etc. are a great help.

Stay the hell away from ANY kind of beer, whiskey, etc. for awhile....that'll just make you crave a smoke even more.

I heard Chantix works like a dream come true. I used Smoke Away (Bought it at Wal-Mart) and it has kept me smoke free for 5 years now.....plus my insurance paid me back for it.

Hang in there bro...

Cool, just keep hanging. Im really not craving a cig now. I dont smoke in my truck, so thats not a problem. I do however park far away from the entrance to my building so I can smoke a full cig before I walk in...that and no "more" door dings...still parked there but felt myself thinking about a cig all the way in. Havn't had a coffee yet, I may give that up as well..since Im trying to cut back on caffeine..

I like the water trick...beats the common substitue..FOOD.. I dont want to quit to be healthy and weigh 400lbs..

Hang in there, just do your best to ignore that gas station. I smoked for about 12 years about 1 1/2 packs a day. Tried to quite several times and I just could never resist the gas station calling my name.

I quit back in the middle of October using chantix. Taking those pills really helped me out big time. It took most of the craving away, most of the other times that I tried to quit I would fly off the handle at anything and would rarely make it passed the 1 day mark. It still wasn't an easy task but the pills made it 100 times better for me at least. They recommend to take the pills for 3 months but ended up only taking them for 3 weeks because they were causing my stomach uneasy when I went to the higher dosage.

Best of luck with it. When you succeed it will make you feel great cause you finally did it. Plus you won't smell like **** anymore and have extra cash
