They keep talking about GW being "science", but science can be proved - whereas GW is a consensus of a fairly small number of scientists - that's consensus, not fact nor provable.

It's funny that the King of GWland, Al Gore, is an energy pig and then buys "energy credits" from himself... I want to get into the energy credit business!!! It will be like the old joke about not farming - you know, my neighbor gets paid "X" to not grow corn on these 100 acres. So I want to get paid for not growing corn on these 1,000,000 acres that I don't own - therefore assuring that I can't grow the corn...

As soon as there is some real evidence (not supposition) I'll start concerning myself.

Historical data, real science, common sense, and no political axe to grind against Capitalism. I'm all for doing what we can within reason to not crap (pollute) where we eat and sleep; but, CO2 emissions by man are not responsible for Global Warming. Global Warming is a political issue, not an environmental issue. It's a non problem. I remember in the early seventies, (When I was in elementary school.) we were said to be poised on the brink of the next Ice Age, by some of the same people that are trying to preach Global Warming today. It's straight up BS designed to scare the living daylights out of the weak and lazy minded.

I don't have any axes to grind either...

Fear tactics work... I mean, you need look no further than the white house to see that. Fear didn't get him his first term, but it locked in the second.

I just think it's crazy not to investigate the possibility, or stick our heads in the dirt and deny the possibility. I doubt many (if any) of us are scientists on this board. Whether we want to believe it or not, we are all educated by different angles of the same media, text books, documentaries and "research" of others- (Discovery Channel, National Geographic, etc..) paraphrased in our own minds.

Maybe we don't have much impact on the state of the world, maybe we do, and maybe we can't do anything abou tit, but- maybe we can... Al I'm saying is, let them look and see.

That said, I can imagine Global Warming woudl be a tough sell to those folks in Buffalo, NY who got 14 feet of snow dumped on them in 3-days.

it wasnt buffalo, it was a little north in oswego, but i remember back in 2001 getting 7+ feet of snow..

btw it IS getting warmer here in summer, but not very noticeably.
ive always remembered a strand of weeks in summer with 90+ temps.
but buffalo has a reputation where people in other areas think its cold year round here =X

Someone is making bookoo bucks off of saying GW is really occurring. Think about it. And now politicians are getting elected on the GW prevention platform, so lobbyists can make even more money once the politicians push their election platform agenda.

So what's going to happen when Earth is in a global cooling mode? Then all the global warming prevention efforts will be all for not. Then someone will come up with scientific data saying we are cooling the planet and the same thing will happen. Complete money making sham, think about it.

Bottom line, it's going to happen either way, if we were here or not, it's still going to happen, it's a natural cycle. Why should we pay for GW prevention efforts when they won't work? What a joke.

I agree. Climate constantly changes and I would rather spend my time and money learning to adapt than to change it. I say let Mother Nature take her course. She's been a pretty good steward of this planet so far so I place my trust in her.

We had the Ice Age scare in the 70's. GW is the current scam. Once that's faded away I think the next big scare will be sea levels declining and they'll call it Global Dehydration.

I concur. At least I'm not the only one who thinks this GW thing is out of control.

Now thats funny. I was thinkin the next big thing will be global asphyxiation. Because, you realize we constantly lose of air/oxygen into outer space.

I heard on the radio today that the US winter temperature was near average. So much for global warming.
