Is this all the Tundra has ? The fastest truck ? I bought my truck to haul the **** out of stuff, not sling my trailers and payload around from a 0-60 rip ....

If I want to go 0-60, I pull my Cobra out of the garage ....not the zillion pound truck ....

This is an ignorant campaign ....

You should be perfectly happy with Ford then.

I think your not comprehending the point trying to be made here, by showing acceleration times with a load, that simulates driving with a load. Now I dont know about you, but its downright scary when you dont have the power to merge safely on the interstate or keep up with moving traffic with a load. As a result, its important to make sure you have the power to safely tow the load your truck is "rated" for. I know personally, when I tow 6000lbs, I always hold my breath when merging onto the interstate and going up inclines etc.

I use my truck like a truck, so its important for me to have the power to not be a safety concern on the road. The video simply illustrates something we already knew, the Tundra has more HP/TRQ than any other 1/2 ton truck and a 6spd to match, so obviously it will handle a load better and accelerate better. Im not sure why this is a surprise or an insult, numbers dont lie. I mean my blood runs just as blue as the next man's, but you cant argue factual numbers. Opinions dont get you down the road, power does. Im like an umpire, I just call it like it is..

Every one of those old toy trucks I see (not many) are nothing but rust. The body's are all shot and I doubt the frames are any better. My co-worker was laughing when one was parked beside my truck Thursday night, he said the thing looked so pathetic next to mine.

So now we're talking about old diesel trucks? Well it is not at all unusual to see a Dodge Cummins with 500,000 miles on it and I know of one that went 700,000. When I had mine the recommended overhaul interval was at 350,000 miles but most just keep on chugging along. Don't know if the Toyota will go that far but will admit that Toyota does make a good diesel four cylinder. I believe the last time you could get one here in an automobile was back in the late 1980's. You could get one in a Camry of all things and also the pickup. You could even get a diesel in the Isuzu pickup/Chevy Luv for a period of time. The horsepower rating on that Toyota diesel was around 90 horsepower I think. That video was certainly entertaining though. It kind of reminded me of an old Dodge slant six I had years ago... It just kept going and going and going...

Oh and the Toyota broken in half picture I posted earlier someone was asking about. I believe that was one of the big problems Toyota had with their frames cracking. If you're really interested, let me know and I'll dig up the information on it.
