I have to call marketing BS on this one. Completely furnished by Toyota.
Look at each pull and you'll notice the Tundra is moving before any one of the other trucks.
I'm not saying a non tuned F150 can hang with a Tundra but I am saying he had quite a jump on everyone else.
Also, the brake comparison makes absolutely no sense what so ever.
The F150 has the same sized rotors as the tundra and both have two piston setups and discs all around. Not only that, but the Tundra isn't that lighter then the F150.
I could live with how the outside of the Tundra looks, but the dash is horrific. I mean it's not even liveable nice. It belongs in their old Supra and that's it, not a truck.
Just comparing the Supercrew short bed F150 5.4L 4x4 3.73LS to the CrewMax Tundra 5.7L 4x4 short bed:
Type: F150/Tundra
GVWR (lbs.): 7200/7200
Maximum Towing Capabilities – Conventional Towing: 9500/10,100
Payload: 1500/1590
Not a huge difference in payload or weight. There is a 600lb difference in towing, but then again who the heck tows near 10,000 lbs? I bet you could push a F150 5.4L to do 10,100.

im sorry but they did everything they could to make the tundra look good and the f150 + other trucks look bad, the tundra took off before the others, then the person driving the f150 clearly didnt accelerate with the other trucks, on top that if you watch the breaking contest the f150 didnt hit the breaks until right at the line.

Bwaaaaahahahahahahaha....
I can see why you gys are mad... Talk about an **** whipping...
Of course Toyota's not gonna show you events that the Toyota lost in (Though I couldn't imagine what those would be, except maybe total number of sales, but not in profit per unit sold).
It has on the average 80 more horsepower than the F-150 and Titan, 36 more than a Hemi Powered Ram, and what 20 - 30 more than the new GM 6.2L V-8. (They said comparbly equipped, so I assume they used the largest engines)
There's nothing stopping Ford, GM and Dodge from doing their own tests. They did it with the Super Duties... If they don't challenge it, that means it's probably true.
I noticed the Titan nipping at the Tundra's heels in every event though, just like when the Titan beat the Big 3 at these same events 3 years ago.
I drive a Ford, but I love stuff like this because it gets you guys fired up, and mad. That's why you shouldn't ~L~O~V~E~ your doggone truck... It's a truck! Somebody's always gonna build something bigger, better, faster, stronger... Just like the 2004 F-150 was, compared to the 2003.
Competition is good, enjoy the loss...
It's not our fault Ford chooses to have the least powerful trucks on the market. They're winning (in sales- depending on how you look at it), just like the Mustang, far weaker and slower (stock) than the Trans Am and Z-28's have been from 1992 - 2002, yet it still lives while those two are dead, and have been for a few years now.
Somehow, Ford survives even when they are underachieving... At least, they have been, I don't know if that will continue.

I agree Hersh, but the point is, the difference isn't as disparaging as they paint it.
They Toyota left the line before any other truck and started braking before any other truck. Flywheel HP and TRQ doesn't mean anything. It's RWHP and TRQ that should be paid attention but not manuf. (for good reason), doesn't report that.
For example the Hemi and new Chevy puts less RWHP down then the Titan, but the Titan has nearly 40-30 less flywheel HP.
I don't think anybody debates the Tundra can tow marginally more and accelerate to 60 marginally faster then an F150. However, the difference is no where near as big as they made it look. Throw an Xcal2 with an intake, exhaust and Troyer tuning on an F150 and then I'd love to see how it stacks up against the Tundra. Hopefully I'll be side-by-side with one at a light some day. I'll probably lose, but it won't be by more then a nose.

the braking test was just wrong....they should have had them all going the same speed side by side when they hit the brakes
oh no...my truck isnt the fastest....i knew that when i bought it...but it can still "go" when i need it to.
Plus how many of you just floor it when you hit the on ramp? I never push it to its max so i dont care it i cant get to 60 a second faster....there is no need

tundra has 6spd tranny meaning it can be in its power band more often then the other guys.
and they should have done a 60-0 and 40-0 with everyone lined up and slamming on the brakes at the same time. b.c 0-60-0 isnt really an accurate account of who can stop faster.
