Dear Kobi,

I was playing a favorite game of mine, FIFA '07, on PS3 at my best friend's house. Our favorite team is Schalke 04 from the German Bundesliga, and on that team is a player named Levan Kobiashvili. Is he a relative of yours?

Actually, I don't know if I should be answering this question as the writers are on strike, and you being a union man should know that, but seeing as this isn't "industry" related, I'm gonna write a reply.

While Kobi's roots expand throughout parts of Western Europe, they do not (as far as I know) reach into the far flung reaches of EurAsia.

Actually, Kobi doesn't buy into the "EurAsia" bullcrap. There's Europe, and there's Asia . . . but EurAsia?!?!?! That's just something geography teachers use to mess with kid's heads. However, Tbilisi, Georgia is pretty much situated right in the middle of where the border of Europe and Asia is, so I'm going to make use of "EurAsia" here.

Anyway, I'm going to say "No", there is no relation. However, my father was know for straying, so it's entirely possible, but he certainly has no resemblance to any family members on either my mother's or father's sides of the family. In fact, he looks a bit gay, so the chances are much better that he's related to (insert name of F150online member you least like, here).

Thanks. Kobi.

I meant no malice towards your roots in the fact that you found the aforementioned footballer looked gay. Please accept my sincere apologies.

Dear Ian -

Tired of reading thru inane stuff that I am expected to fix, I decided to check in on the forum . . . and what do I see?????

THIS!

I was a bit afraid (or as they say in this area I have moved to, "ascared") to even read the post. But then, after I opened this thread, I see that Stealth actually had post number 666 (which is rather appropriate), so I feel safe in answering.

My Christmas was fine, thank you. How was yours?

While Kobi could get into an entirely long and somewhat boring lecture about ethical behavior based on the principles of "right" and "wrong", he will refrain from doing so. What you're talking abut here is normative ethics. We philosopher types like to sit around and yap (or write worthless treatises) about such stuff (in this case philosophical ethics). In doing so, we don't accomplish much, but it gives us an opportunity to stroke our beards, adjust our glasses, give that squinty-eyed look as if we are really trying to think hard, all while wearing a herringbone sports coat with patches on the sleeves, dockers slacks and Birkenstock shoes.

Now, before we can even address the poor critter getting shot, we have to establish what the criterion are for something to be right and something to be wrong. To do that, we have to decide what right and wrong are in the most general sense. And honestly, it's been thousands of years so far and the argument over whether something "right" (or good) can exist with something "wrong" (or bad) still has not been settled. In other words, good can not exist without bad. You need both for either state to exist. Unless, of course, you don't.

And then, let's say that we can even reach an agreement on this, your question is somewhat open in that it isn't entirely specific (it asks if there is "anything", which leaves the door wide open to the smallest deviation, and it asks this in regard to two different things.

So, rather than get into all that, I'm going to take the long answer made short route and say, "yes".

Hope that helps.

Shooting for the meat is ok, shooting to save livestock is ok, shooting to kill for fun, not ok.

What if your shooting to save livestock, other wild life that become scarce or extinct do to over population of coyote causing ill repairable devastation to the eco systems food chain, the coyotes as a whole species them selfs and you happen to use the opportunity to use all of those things as a means to justify the happiness it brings you to shoot the dirty, vandalizing, disease carrying scoundrels?

Dear Kobi,

How difficult is it to find a job and move to another city? Where does one start?
