We'll just have to agree to disagree on that one MW.

Ironice isn't it... I started off as the first one to jump in and defend you.

Back on topic...
No I'm not going to sale my Ford because they donate to gay and lesbian orginizations, even though I don't agree with that lifestyle. It's thier money to do with as they please.

For your sake I hope I made sence when I was defending you earlier in this thread...

I dont think homosexuality is the gravest of all sins. [/QUOTE]

I don't think it matters what we think anyway - as long as the Bible hasn't changed since the last time I read it, God's going to handle all that on judgement day. The Bible says to love the sinners and not the sin, love your neighbor, oh yeah, love is the most used verb in the Bible!

And it's very clear in the Bible that all sins are equal in God's eyes. The little white lie I said is just as bad as the man who murded in God's eyes.

I love boycott groups, especially when religion is involved. Think of it as a good 'ol fashioned book burning with a layer of laziness to prevent the actual fire. It's best to keep these kind of people focused on boycotts; it keeps the abortion clinic bombings and doctor shootings in check.

I'll guess around 20-30% are latent bi or homosexuals trying to stay in the closet (unless the catholic clergy is involved--then up the percentage) and the rest are suffering from "my failed life isn't my own fault" syndrome.

It's all about education. Check the state by state statistics--the lower the education, the higher the prejudice (fear) factor.

Look at the effect they had on boycotting Howard Stern. Imagine what they'll do to Ford!
-Fatz

edit: It gets better and better! Here's a list of other things they're boycotting!

Carl’s Jr.
Kraft Foods
Mary Kay Cosmetics
Old Navy stores
ABC
NutriSystem

They gave up on Disney because nobody cared.

I better shut up ... The moderator will have to deal with you. Are you

Awfully defensive, aren't we. I wasn't accusing you of anything. You asked what I was against so I answered. If you fit the bill, fine. If it doesn't apply to you, thats fine too. I wasn't pointing fingers.

The sin of unbelief is the ONLY sin that damns a soul to hell.
so Homosexuality doesn't send you to hell? I thought that was the whole point of discussion in this thread?

That's the most sence you've made in this thread. I can do anything I want
to do and I'm still going to heaven. The thing is, when Jesus saved me, He
put a new " Want Toer " in me. Praise His Name !

I'm still waiting for a reply to these verses.

Jesus said in Matt. 10:34 ... I am came not to send peace, but a sword.

Luke 22:36 ... he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

After all, you're the one that said it was a sin to have a gun. I'm glad
you're not the final authority.
My reply to this is: don't read the words verbatim. You do yourself a disservice. If you feel the need to follow the writings to the letter, please polish up on your Hebrew. The Bible was written in Hebrew and its been proven many times over that it did not translate into King James English accurately.

Now before you get angry again, take a deep breath. I am not challenging your belief in God and his Son and I am not saying your beliefs are wrong. What I am saying is that you cant pick and choose your sins. You follow the teachings of Him or you dont. Homosexuality is a sin. But so are many other things. My point is, there is no difference between a homosexual that leads his life according to the teachings of Christ (except for the gay thing) and a hetero Christian that is regularly guilty of sloth, envy, adultry etc. A person commits sins or they do not.We can't pick and choose which sins are more severe. Someone made that decision 2000 years ago.

At the risk of playing "flog the troll", here's a point for you to ponder.

When you someday understand why you choose to believe in your religion instead of all the other religions of the world, you'll understand why others choose to believe in their own.

Using your bible as moral compass is, for a VAST majority of the world, akin to consulting a Harry Potter book for advice.

I can't hardly wait for j150's response to that.
4 things:

when you typed this, you sat back and folded your arms across your chest, didn't you?

Second, you dont take a life over greed of material possessions. The Bible also tells you that if someone tries to steal your stuff, let them have it because they obviously need it more than you.

3rd thing: I don't recall Jesus saying "chew on that" when he preached to the Romans. Jesus wanted people to understand through love and enlightenment, not confrontation.

"My Bible". There are many Holy texts in the world. The Bible, Torah and Quran all come from the same God. You should read the other two. Its very enlightening. Especially the Quran. Its full of love and worship and faithfulness to Him. I'm serious about this point. This is not meant to insult you at all. You are obviously passionate on this and that is an admirable trait.

Well said! I'm often bemused by the fact that "christians" refuse to accept the fact that "Allah" of the Muslim faith and "God" are one and the same.

as an athiest with "world religions" as a hobby, this thread is giving me an extreme case of the giggles...

Maybe they would get a better response if they had a good 'ol fashioned bra burning instead.

Being a conservative, I have to keep my religeous thoughts to myself around some of my friends. Sometimes, I'm embarrassed by the path from which they come to our shared beliefs of what standards man should be held to.

I thought you were an _ _ _ _ _ , now you've removed all doubt.

There will come a day when that opinion will change.
