Last nights weigh-in read 299, that's 2lbs less than last weeks post-bowling reading. I'm behind on my goal to 285 by month end, and this weekend is going to be costly as well. Bachelor party... lotta food & booze going to be consumed (as was the case this Friday w/ my Bowling Banquet). All in all not bad. I'm going to try to keep with the same double-workout routine and still try for a small loss even with the partying!

I'm still at 228, 8 more pounds to go to reach my original goal from back when this thread started. The more I lose the harder it gets but it helps when you see small things changing. I need to get a link taken out of my watchband because it's gotten too loose!

I've lost 8 lbs so far since last months doctor visit. I was 288 then, now I'm at 280. Eating less and staying busy seems to help me. Is 8 lbs to much to lose in a month's time?

Good job guys. Peace - 8lbs in a month is fine. 8lbs in a week is too much, but 2lbs a week is about perfect, every doc would tell you slow and steady is best.

OK Thanks dzervit. I'm shooting for 250 lbs. I want to be reasonable, and not try to over do it. So I'll take it slow and go from there.

Well I am at 192, up a pound from last week. Stupid PMS. I ate like a moron all weekend & felt like I was never full. I just happened to look at the calendar at work yesterday & it all made sense. Now I know I have to be stricted on myself & avoid the emergency chocolate in the freezer. Maybe all the yard work I still have to do will help (as long as the rain holds off in the evenings so I can do it).

Keep up the good work Peace, sherm & D.

Thanks rdy2race with. You'll do fine. Just keep at it. Losing weight is one of the hardest things you can try to do in life. So, don't be dissapointed if you gain a pound. Weight fluctuates up and down from day to day. I think the key is to stay persistant. Keep at it, and it'll pay off in the end. Or, at least that's what I'm trying to tell myself. That sounds kinda funny coming from an over-weight person like myself.

Thanks for the encouragement Peace. I take things day by day (even though all my calculations are done weekly). I am trying to make up for the weekend but the 4 slices of pizza yesterday didn't help. Oh well I worked off some of that last night. I think another part of my problem is that I haven't been sleeping good. I have been waiting up for hubby, for no reason, instead of getting to bed at a decent hour. I am going to try & change that some this week, only wait up for him every other night.

Yep, get your sleep. You'll want to lay around all day if you don't.

I agree with dzervit. 8lbs in one month is about as textbook perfect as you can get when you're actually losing fat. Way to stick with it!

r2rw/, don't beat yourself up, a little slip every now and again is normal and shouldn't seriously affect your outcome as long as they are just little slips.

Good job guys, when this is over we need to see what everyone has lost and get the grand total!

300.5 Sunday night. After a two day bender I'm not surprised. Back in the saddle this week. The two pounds were totally worth the party though...

Weighed in at the grocery store tonight (I don't own a scale and the free one at the grocery store is accurate). Even after sucking down a couple waters and two glasses of tea, I was at 174.5. My starting point was 190 on Super Bowl Sunday and I didn't lose anything the first month. I still have a gut though, can't seem to lose the roll even though I work very hard outdoors and eat fairly healthy without pigging out late at night.
