Yea I hear ya about this kit versus have something done up. Around here there isn't a whole lot in the way of options to have a quality custom exhaust set up. I am leaning towards the corsa db series and making a piece out of stainless to delete the resonator which I think I would like and it would have the exit I want. Or going with the roush off road kit which I love the sound however I am not wild about the exit being straight out the back.

I want a very clean looking truck and having the ROR exit I do not feel like it goes with that look. I like the corsa dual tips as well so that is why I am leaning Corsa at this point. I think with the resonator gone that kit will have a nice sound to it.

The more I think about it the more I think that is the way to go.

The Corsa has almost NO sound at cruise. Sounds great on acceleration but once you get over about 40 mph or so there is practically no sound at all inside.

The system sounds great otherwise. If you are looking for a good tone throughout the rpm ranges though, the Corsa is probably not for you as it is designed to quiet down.

Just a heads up.

Corsa makes one of the best non drone kits available.

Personally I've always loved Borla or Bassani though.

resonator delete pipe installed today

OK, I just got in and installed the OEM delete pipe Part#9L3Z-5A212-C. Big difference in volume. Here is a simple startup and easy drive off. The wife was recording with her camera and I don't think she got close enough to let you tell how much louder it is at idle and rev. I will make a better video and put that on youtube when I get done.Oh yea by the way I totally love this setup. If it was any louder I would hate it. I am 48 years old and I would say most older guys might prefer the resonator in,but I don't. Will a larger tip help any with sound or just for looks. I plan on getting a larger one.

Let me know what you all think. I think the tone is very similar to Arklights XR-1. I heard the vids that he posted sounded good a little muffled because of the phone recorder, but you can tell it is really nice

I bought a Roush Performance Exhaust for my truck and installed it on tuesday. Love it. Sounds amazing, it has a similar tone and some similar qualities to my brothers Roush Off Road exhaust but it also has some uniqueness from that system. I will be getting a video up very soon. I have a couple pics from when I opened it and the install. I will be posting pics of it on the truck tonight. Don't worry a video will come sometime next week.

Hey AirsoftF150,
Glad to see you made a choice. I like what you picked, that kit sounds awesome. I am curious about the length of and size of the rousch muffler. I believe Borla makes that for roush. My s-type is 10" long,14" if you count the connection ends and about 5" round. I think my truck sounds similar to the roush exhaust with the exception of 2.5 inches to 3 inches. I have more videos on youtube of my setup.[url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-92ST7wImXU&feature=plcphttp://www.youtube.com/watch?

Ok here are the pics of the kit on the truck, as soon as I can drag TruckGuy24 to a parking lot to make a video I will. And maybe get some pics of our trucks together would be nice.

My brother's girlfriend was driving behind me and could clearly hear my truck rumbling along. She is going to take a video following along behind me tomorrow and I will post it up here. I am definitely curious to hear it. I know the truck is loud as I can hear it so clearly in the cab. Jeesh it sounds amazing though its a very smooth aggressive sound when I get on it and as the rpms increase the volume increase and the pitch increases a little as well. I do not have to give it much gas to get a nice deep tone from it. I could not be more pleased with the roush exhaust and from the around town driving and the limited highway driving I have done it is exactly what I wanted.

It sounds like Borla is what I want as well. The true Dual with an x or H pipe would not help the overall sound with the Borla or Magnaflow muffler? Is the Cat affect the sound much? Where can I buy inexpensive Borla mufflers?

Is this the Borla sound? I really like the sound of your truck. And it does not have Duals? Does it have headers?

Thanks, TruckGuy24. There is a guy on f150forum that is installing a custom 3"IN/OUT 12" XR1 sportsman like you are talking about on his 5.0 His install will be done some time next week and he is going to do some video as well. Please try to use a good camera or video recorder so we get a good idea of Airsoftf150's truck. It seems like those android phones or whatever there called sound muffled.

AirsoftF150 your pics and your setup looks great, very clean. Cant wait to hear your truck, looks great by the way.
