I was in the same boat as you before i got my true duals put on. After searching for a while i came across a few Magnapack vids....and i was sold. They have been on my truck now for about 6 months and i still like them. I all the time get compliments on my exhaust....if anything i wouldnt do the true dual magnaflows. i had the 14" oval bodies and it didnt have that growl to it like i was looking for or low note at idle. Borla or Magnapacks are what i would do. And yes i know magnapacks are magnaflow, but most people when they speak of magnaflow are talking about the oval bodies.....anyway......good luck

Oh yes!

If I were to ever change from my new Magnapacks, these would be the ones I'd go with. Actually, kinda considering it!

Thanks for the input! I think im going with Borla just so I stand out....every doofus with a few bucks has Flowmasters around here and think they are top dog. What does everybody think about true duals 3" piping to an X pipe with Borlas and ill keep my tailpipes and tips just to save some dollars. Can i get some input on what types of muffler Borla offers? I have never dealt with them. Im going to look them up now. Thanks all.

Save a few more bucks, and use nothing bigger than 2.5". I believe you'd lose a noticeable amount of torque with 3" true duals.

Have you read the "exhaust bible" thread that's stickied at the top of this forum?

2.5" pipes max, unless you've got a big bore blower that we didn't know about.

Ive not noticed rasping or cracking with my Magnaflow set up going through the rpm range. I have true duals, Mag X pipe and 14 x 4" bullets. Plus with a truck, how often will you run it up into the higher RPM ranges? From what Ive seen, Borla's will cost you a lot more than a Magnaflow set up.

Is yours a 2 valve 5.4? Maybe that's the difference. Mine never sound raspy no matter what the rpms.
