It's bad. Sounds nice when under 1800 rpm. But it's killing me on the highway. It's loud and mean and everything imaginable, but I need something a bit more mellow so I'm eventually going to get a big long si/do Maggie.

Have you tried re-tightening the header bolts at the head? What header gasket did you guys use? I'm considering purchasing these when I do mine, instead of using the ones that were supplied by Dynatech. I also intend to button it up with Stage 8 locking bolts even though they look like a pain to re-tighten.

Haven't tried re-torquing yet. No time.

I used the Ford gaskets but I think they are part of my problem since they don't match the port opening of the header but do the exhaust port on the head. The dynatech gaskets look pretty good and are metal, and have a round opening like the header. The OBX gaskets look like cardboard so we steered away from them. Maybe we should have used them instead. :o

OK, vids of the leaks... Some of the hissing is from the tailpipe to shop vac masking tape connection

Driver's side...

Passenger side...

And to drool over, a startup video...

No! I just wish I could snap and make the leaks stop. Going to take lots of time it being my daily and all.

Loud and good are not the same.

Well I can do the little leaks and I could try re-torquing the headers but I really think I need different gaskets like I explained before, so basically I think I'm going to have to start all over again. Remove the header bolts, pull the headers, clean the surfaces, put on new gaskets, and reinstall the headers again.

It's so loud I don't think that will work so well. Tossing all my ideas out here.

I used the obx supplied gaskets and have had zero leaks with them. 90% of my leaks were the crapass obx clamps. Like I said welding fixed it.

My set up has no cats and I used dual 14" mufflers that was stupid loud. I went with a di/do 18" maggy and it wasn't any better. My 18" Saleen/edlebrock is a chambered muffler and is quiet at cruise and mean at throttle. Depending on what you get for a muffler and exit point 22" muffler is what I'd recommend
