Will OBX LT's + ROR = deafness?

I have a slight exhaust manifold leak. I still have the stock exhaust manifolds. Not throwing any codes, but I do have inspection coming up next month. :o

So, I've been contemplating getting OBX LT's with high flow cats for a while now. Thing is I have the rear exit ROR exhaust. Sounds great.

My question is if I add the LT's to the ROR, will my exhaust be too loud? I'm thinking it won't be when I'm cruising, which is what I do most of the time, highway miles.

Thoughts?

Also, fill me in on the O2 extension deal. How many? Easily made, or easier to buy?

Thanks, all.

It will pop quite a bit on revs from the very small muffler body, and possibly from hard de-cels, but would probably sounds quite incredible to the thought!

Yeah they do. I am not too certain on their quality and durability myself, but then again, Magnaflow's are great but there are still stories here and there about theirs having structure durability issues.. Could work out really good with the catted LT kit.

I've debated it a long time for my truck, though I actually am trying for this '08 FX4 so I can't be certain, though if I did go for the performance exhaust of LTs, I would surely say bye be Bullets.. These things shake my brain as is haha.

I guess I could always add a bullet or magnapack in there before the Roush muffler if it's entirely too loud. Good thing is I get free earplugs at work.

I guess there's really only one way to find out. :o

Any O2 extension tips? I'm an LT n00b.

Should only need front downstream extensions of at least 18" of length to connect the first down streams.

It will sound amazing! But ya, it will be loud too. I suggest trying a larger body hi-flow than the 94106 model. The larger cats will help reduce the increase in volume from the monster that lives up front!

Meaning a larger body cat? Suppose I should look into that too.

Maybe a Magnaflow 94006. It is a 12" body compared to the most popular and loudest 94106 which is a 9" body. A 94400 is 15 1/2" body, but that may be too big.

My 08 needed all 4 extensions

Tip: connect the upstream 02 connections to the extensions while the truck is 'apart' it could be tricky trying to connect them with the long tubes in there. Use some tie downs for the excess wire.

I'd go with the OBX LT's and the ROR with a bullet added in there. My 18 (16.5") bullets are too loud. Highway is starting to get overbearing. I will be adding high flows before my truck is due for smog in march, probably going to ditch the 18" bullets for a 22" muffler of some sort to quiet it down some.

Yeah the catted kit with a bullet would probably be cheapest. There are regular OBX long tubes w/o collectors that I could build with cats and piping, well build at an exhaust shop but that could get costly. Besides I'm a bolt on guy.
