My exhaust is finally done! Bullet + Side Exit

So I decided to go the single Bullet route, and it is finally complete. I'm running a Dynomax Bullet muffler with the stock 2.5" piping out the side in front of the rear wheels with a Hooker Headers dual exhaust tip. I couldn't be any happier. Looks and sounds great.

I got the job done by a friend of a friend who does welding and other work on vehicles as a side job, and I am pretty impressed. Quality work and it was pretty cheap. I originally brought it to him and had him cut off the old muffler and weld the Bullet on. We left it dumped since I was still deciding on which tip I wanted. I drove my truck for about two weeks with it dumped right under the cab. It was loud, but drone really wasn't too bad. I don't know if it's just because I'm young and don't mind the noise or something, but it wasn't as bad as people were saying. But overall, with it dumped it was loud and agressive.

I decided on a Hooker Headers dual exhaust tip 2.5" inlet and dual 3" outlets. I went back to the guy today and finished everything up. Now it is running from the Bullet still with 2.5" piping out the side before the rear tires. I think it looks great with the dual tip. I honestly wasn't expecting the sound to change much from it being dumped to another foot or two of pipe and a tip. But let me tell you, it sounds completely different. It is still loud and agressive outside, but it got rid of a lot of the drone. With the windows down the drone is almost non existant unless you're purposely trying to hear it stomping on the gas. But what I like even more about the finished setup is it sounds a lot more tuned now if that makes sense. Before it was just loud, but now it is loud and has a nice tone.

I mainly decided on this setup due to money costs since I'm getting my lift, tires, and wheels before the end of the month, but I really couldn't be any happier. I probably like my setup now more than I'd like a $500+ setup. Let me know what you guys think! I'll try and get a sound clip in the near future, but hear are some pictures for now.

It looks great and it's always nice to get a deal once in a while. As much as we we all would like $1000. exhaust systems, sometimes we make the best out of what we have and sometimes we end up liking it better. Good job!!

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Like I said, I am really happy with this setup and spent less than $200 total. I'll try and get some sound clips up Thursday

I don't like how the tip is angled. Just my opinion, but as long as your happy with it, is all that matters.

im glad you tooked that from under the truck, and put it out the side. Having any exhaust dumped ruins the actual tone of the muffler. the bullet out the side sound so wicked, and is the best way to hear the tone of the muffler. good choice. But definately not diggin the tip. Save up $75 and buy a nice magnaflow tip.

Haha no one likes my tip I was given the option to have it come out angled or straight and I told him angled, so that's what he did And I'm thinking about taking the red and yellow "Hooker" stickers off the tip. Maybe that'll help a little? Either way, I think it looks great in person, the pictures don't do it justice And I agree with ya mig, it sounds so nice out the side. Has a very distinct tone.

Also, another reason I chose that tip is because I wanted a dual tip, and couldn't find any others in my price range that I liked.

I think if the tips were angled together as they are, but staggered so the front tip doesnt stick out so far it would look better.

Yeah I think I'm taking the stickers off tomorrow. And what do you mean straighten it up? Did you mean taking the stickers off will straighten them up? Or did you mean not to have it come out at an angle?
