Yeah, that's probably as close as you're going to get with a Magnaflow.

No Magnaflows loudness level will compete with the Super 44, but yes the 14" is its equivalent. Thinking of swapping?

i dunno guys, i have the si/do 14" on mine, 5.4L, and it sounds good but i'm not sure it is in the same neighborhood as the super 44. like you say, it is definitely not quite as loud, but while it has a good deep growl i still am not sure if it is as deep as the super 44. magnaflow has an 11" i was interested in getting before, but due to my inexperience w/ magnaflow i was afraid it would be too loud for what i wanted.

I heard a 11" Magnaflow before, just a tad louder than the 14", didn't sound as nice as the 14" does though in my opinion. The Super 44 is both very deep toned, and straight piped loud, check out my old trucks exhaust. http://youtube.com/watch?v=sLufwseFY4Q

I know what you mean about hearing it. It sounds great in the cab, but it's very rare for me to hear my truck when I'm not in it. When I do I'm like .

BTW I have 2 14" round Magnaflow mufflers

Thank ya. I liked it. Droned like crazy though, I dont know about yours, but heres how much mine droned. I like hearing it but would be nice if putting the window down was how I hear it ( soon to be Magnaflow owner ) It sure is one damn loud muffler, perfect for the teens.

i've been hearing the super 44 is a good sounding muffler. i've never heard one in real life other than sound clips. but i do like the smooth deep sound of the magnaflow and the volume level of a flowmaster. why can't one of them have both of those good qualities?!!

I agree, I like the sounds of Flowmaster on some vehicles, but they could start improvements by using T-409 steel.
