The Roush OR on these late model Fords sounds absolutely amazing!

By far the best sounding exhaust I've heard on these trucks.... and I'm not even running one.

And Shrkbait, yeah, the Roush's are made by Borla.. no idea how they sell for less, but they do.. exact same systems as far as I can tell.. Maybe it's sales volume, I don't know...

I'd definitely get Roush if I was doing it again..

I hear ya.

Sounds great. Stupid question - is the off-road system really not street legal, or are they just using it as a marketing thing to make it sound cool? How do you guys get thru state inspection with the system?

I believe the term off road is in relation to the sound. A cat back exhaust system has nothing to do with emission levels, just sound and performance.

OK that makes sense, when I think about it, but I was actually thinking more about the volume - there must be a legal limit as to how loud your exhaust can be?

In that case I'd be calling or searching online about local exhaust or sound ordinances.

Well, I did it, I pulled the trigger. I ordered the Roush Off Road exhaust kit this morning from Woodhouse. I just hope it isn't too loud.

Cool, I'm really tempted to follow suit. Looking forward to hearing how you like it.

Thumbs up

The Roush system rocks. Best sounding by far I think. Loud when you wanna be heard, and quiet when you need to be. You will be happy and the envy of many F150 owners you now see who aren't Roushed. I did have that exhaust hanger problem (see thread) but Roush took care of me right and sent out a whole new system no questions asked. Excellent customer service if you ask me. Not something too common in today's world where most customer service sucks.

I've been keeping up with that thread as well.

I used to tig weld 304 stainless at my last job, so I know all too well how stainless reacts to excessive heat.

I can't wait to drool all over the Roush kit.

I had these pipes on my truck with no cats, boy did it sound good.

I think the Roush kit will give you exactly what you're lookin for.

Well, I ordered the kit Monday, and the kit still hasn't shipped. I'm dealing with Mike Roth from Woodhouse auto. The kit will be shipping directly from Roush. I hate waiting, and having to wait a bit longer makes it worse.
