The X3 is probably your best bet, then you can get a scan gauge seperately for fairly cheap and have the three custom tunes and the gauge pod too. Hope this is some help.

It may seem wrong not to upgrade an Edge if the user says he has a good cable, but, what if they DO upgrade it and then discover there's a "cable fault"? I think the "hard" cutoff until the cable issue is resolved makes the most sense.

So, if you have a Gryphon already, you're golden. If you have a pre-2004 Edge and are having problems, contact Edge. If you have a pre-2004 Edge and want to upgrade to a Gryphon, stand by. If Edge works out the cable problem, you'll be able to do it. If you can't wait, look into getting an X3.

Take it easy Jack I edited my post. Sorry for the mix up. I thought the upgrades were still good because those cables were not having any problems.

I wasn't excited, 88 - I just wanted to avoid any possible misunderstanding that would cause hard feelings later.

It really was a "hard" cut off!

I will keep promoting the xcal3 along with the scangaugeII xgauge then! Until the problem is taking care of.

Not to add fuel to the fire or anything, but the Scan Gauge acually looks like a great product.

From what I've read on it last night, it looks to have all the capabilities you'd possibly want to display along with a compact size.

This looks to be a great addition to all X3 owners out there that want to display the trucks data in real time.

What's the matter with scangauge?

Livewire is huge compared to the edge. The mounting options are nothing compared to the edge pod.

88, I was startin to lean a little towards that way too, seems like its our only option for a dash mounted, easy to read display and still have custom tunes..

Whats everyone think? Livewire with custom tunes? Good deal?

And btw, is it just me, because whenever I go to PHP's website and try to click on the Xcal3 link, its actually not a link, the mouse just passes over it, while everything else on that page is a link to more info on the product...strangeee

Well looks like I am going to have to wait a little while longer to get the Gryphon oh well I Guess if I waited a while already I can wait a little while longer especially if the product is as good as I read.

Shouldn't be hard to see even with bad eyesight! And much better mounting options too boot. IMO

From my research the lw's mounting options were not appealing to me. Suction cup to the windshield or a screw in pedlestool mount to the dash. No one could provide me with dimensions and from every picture I saw it looked big. It does have some cool features like up to 6 pids displayed at a time where as gryphon/edge/scangauge are only up to 4 pids. Also has a shift light but why do you need you need one in an automatic?
