I see your point.
I was just in the "normal" DD mode, not in "race" or "utility" mode.

Here's some more. Go to blendmount.com and you can mount the scangauge above your rearview mirror so its off your dash.

Thank Bill at PHP for that one!

thanks, hopefuly edge just gets the cable problem solved and soon

the scan guage + mount is around $220, alone. The X3, even though its not up on the site, going off the price of the SF3 (379.99) + 3 custom tunes (figure 30 each)
= $700 + shipping as a round about cost.

Compared the the Gryphon which is $399 plus the $30x3 for the custom tunes = $490.

I think i will just wait and hope instead of paying an extra $210 for an ugly gauge and a hand held tuner that i will most likely have to unplug the gauge and plug in the tuner each time I want to change the tune.

Yup!

If I were patient enough, I'd have gone with a Gryphon myself, but that would have had me waiting for quite some time....and would not be able to install my CAI. (Damn you brain!)

But I disagree with the ugly gauge comment however, I find having it compact is less intrusive and less prone to theft also.

Different strokes I guess!

This explains problems I have been having with my Evo. Edge just replaced my cable and programmer. Still having problems.

I purchased my Evo back in 5/2007 and have always had the intermittent issue with the display cutting out. Sometimes it would go months without issues and other times I would have to replug the cable 2 or 3 times when driving. The display shutting off has always been a scary thought when it comes down to being in the process of changing up a tune or going back to stock.

Hopefully this issue will be resolved in the near future so I can take benefit of the Gryphon tunes.

Anyone have any update info on the cable problem? Was hoping this wouldn't take long to get fixed.

Just a question?

You aren't using electronics around it? Are you?

Like say you have your cell phone by it or any other frequency emitting devices?

Try hitting enter 2 times and the display should come back on.

Sorry dude!
Never put any numbers to it like you did!

Just was offering it as an option?

I don't understand why anyone pre-PowerPc would want a flash tuner when multiposition chips are available to change tuning on the fly.
