No, I don't think you did, i. ride.
As I recall, I put up something fairly long (my usual style) about shifting on "sound" (i.e. RPM) rather than speed back in the good old days when we were still allowed to control things in the driver's seat of our vehicles. And, though I probably didn't add this, those manual transmission vehicles always had better gas mileage rankings than their automatic counterparts too.
So, if you would like to enlighten me? Does it possibly have something to do with part throttle (normal) acceleration rather than WOT acceleration?

Still, I, and everyone I ever rode with, shifted on engine RPM, not speed.

The transmissions in our trucks are very bad about drivetrain loss, they are power hungry and do not transfer power very well. Typically it's a ~25-30% loss in our trucks. Mustangs, manuals, see about a ~15% loss and the automatics have about a ~20% loss.
it still slips some at WOT but not as much; autos are hogs, up to 30% in the worst case scenario
Blackout, I'm going to add a third indorsement to what Chris and romanstine said. You MAY have to wait a bit for the custom tunes, but they, and the customer service you get from Bill and Corey make it all worth it.
And, as just a small point to consider: Notice how Corey was so up-front about the possible "wait" and how she DID NOT try to steer you away from Justin and VMP? This approach is what I mean when I keep using words like "honesty" and "integrity" to describe PHP.
Also, I don't think you'll wait long at all for the Gryphon itself (with it's stock tunes). If I'm wrong, of course, Corey will correct me. So, you'll get to play with your "toy" and admire the additional readouts as you drive around. Not to mention, of course that even the canned tunes are better than Ford's stock tune.
Hope this helps put things in perspective!

, but let me ask you this...Why in the world would I push you to place an order with PHP, KNOWING that you were going to be unhappy with the wait? I am the one you'd be e-mailing and calling to complain!
Bill just talked to Justin the week before last, I believe, just to shoot the poop. Mike, Justin, Bill -- they're all friendly, and as far as I know, nobody's trying to hoard the business. It is far easier to lay it all out on the proverbial table so that everyone knows what to expect than it is to make false promises and have to clean up the mess down the line. It would be unfair of me to tell you that you will have your tunes next week when I KNOW that it's going to take at least a month! We actually have a few customers left from the month of March, I believe, who have been waiting patiently. That, of course, is not the norm, but there are only so many hours in the day. We will never purposely misrepresent our company or what we can do for our customers. That's not the way we play the game.
If you like the programmers that Mike or Justin program and they don't have as long a wait, it would make sense for you to buy from them. If you like what the Gryphon has to offer and are willing to wait for some incredible custom tunes (that's from our testimonials -- not from me!), then you should purchase the Gryphon. I will still love you either way.

And many thanks, Jack, for the kind words. As always, they are very, very appreciated.
You're welcome, Corey. She kind of says it all in the last two posts, doesn't she?
PHP, Troyer, VMP (alphabetic order).
Pay your money, pick your poison!
You want reverse alphabetic order? OK: Troyer, VMP, PHP. Sorry Justin, you're stuck in second!
