Linex over Rhino is my pick.

I have had the Linex in my previous truck and liked it a lot. My brother has had Rhino in his Chevy for about 5 or 6 years and it is looking rough. The surface is chalky and the spots that have been damaged show how thin the liner was when sprayed in.

I have heard that the installer makes the difference, so make sure to visit the store before you get it done to get a sample of some of the work that they do.

Got Line-X on mine, never had Rhino but I love mine. I'm a carpenter and throw tools in & out every day, no scuffs, no scratches and tools won't slide around (unless I have it on 2 wheels). $300 for 6.5' bed!

The Rhino is made out of cottage cheese.
If you break down in the middle of nowhere you'll have something to eat.
Unless your mom packed you a lunch.

If she does pack you a lunch, tell her 'no cottage cheese' cause you got plenty.

I have a Rhino because the dealer was closer. So far I love it...If it were as evil as most claim it to be then they wouldnt be in business.

On the flip side....If the Line X dealer was closer I would have went there.

Same price........same function.......Im sure the critical factor with spray in's is dealer prep.

Every brand of every product has problems. Go with what you want not what the herd says

My family has been using Rhino liners for a long time. We have had a fair number of them over the years. Some of the trucks, like my current '06 KR are garage queens, but we have some that we beat on. Personally, I can not speak for the Line-X product because we have never used it. I can say that our luck with the Rhino Liners has been very good. One of the trucks hauls scrap metal quite a bit, and that liner is holding up fine. It's not something I would eat off of any more, but it is not breaking down and the bed is being protected. We have a truck in Texas that hauls stage equipment and sound system stuff for a band currently on tour through the south. As you can imagine, a bunch of heavy amps, subwoffers and stacks being tossed around by drunken roadies could easily trash a truck bed. So far, the liner has held fine. It looks like we use it. I don't expect it to look brand new after we slide stuff, throw stuff, and bounce stuff around it them day after day. One thing I like about the liner is that it seems to help hold things still when we are driving. Nothing slides around back there in the trucks. I'm sure Line-X will do the same.
Buy what sounds best to you. I got these trucks done with Rhino because we have never had a problem. That's it. If we had started with Line-X and had a good result, they would probably all have Line-X. I'm sure they are both good. The marketplace has a way of seperating the wheat from the chaff anyway, and these companies are survivors of that scrutiny. You probably can't get hurt either way. Go find a good deal, get a guy you like and trust, and pull the trigger.
Good luck.

+1 for the Rhino. I have had Rhino for a few of my trucks and have never been dissapointed. I think it comes down to personal pref. Just beware in this forum, because there are several people here who are dealer reps for either side. Either way I don't think you could go wrong.

FYI,
I am new to this forum, and as such my status is that of a Junior Member. With that label, it is understandable for someone to assume my participation to have an ulterior motive. Just the same, let's keep this very clear. My posts are my best effort to either share my knowledge, or to seek the knowledge and advice of others. I am not a dealer in anything remotely involved with trucks. I will save posting my profession, but rest assured, it is as far from truck accesories as a person can possibly be. There may be some bottom feeders lurking around here, however, I assure you all that I personally have nothing else on the docket other than the pure exchange of information. What I stated regarding bedliners for example is very true. If it helps you, that's great. You can disagree with it if you like, but no matter how you act on it, you can trust the information to be unbiased and without agenda.

Talk to both dealers and look at their work. There are minor differances between the two products and their application. Go with the one that appeals to you the most.

The Line-X seemed more durable to me and I preffered the hot application process. I also thought it had a cleaner more uniform look, but since it's under a tonneau cover that wasn't a deal breaker.

The Rhino seemed a little more non-skid as it was softer. Softer has its appeal as I always seem to be climbing in on my knees. Unfortunatley the Rhino dealer pretty much guaranteed the bed drains would be closed off when he was done. I have since talked with people that had their Rhino done elsewhere and their drains were still open, so this might be dependent on the skill of the crew doing the work. I was not real impressed with the owner of the Rhino dealership I was at. If I wanted a Rhino Liner I would drive the extra twenty+ miles to go this other dealer.

They are both good products and I think I could be happy with either if that were all that was available, but it's nice to have a choice. Good luck.
